Yeah i just read the article and this is well yeah... really nice to know how the government can screw people over and brand them something that they are not, but oh well what I can I do am a no body to begin with. I will probably just leave cr and give up anime in general to be honest with you I am sick of being called a perv and pushed around so the only thing I can do is just run from but what are you opinions? cp=child porn if you didn't know that.

I wonder where this will go for CR

Meaning, I wonder how this will end up effecting us. Will CR be forced to shut down just the related content (On that list I think I only saw Chu-Bra) or could it lead to CR as a whole going down...

i don't really know but this goes for any and all anime with nudity, ecchi, yuri, yaio, shota and loli no Idea really but yeah.. sigh =_=

Omamori Himari, about a demon hunter with a harem of female demons, including a prepubescent girl who takes her clothes off and dry humps the main character to heal him in episode 5 (nudity is censored but the orgasmic moaning is not)

Chu-Bra!!, about middle school children that start an underwear club (child nudity and fondling in both manga & anime)

these are two of the series i do know that will be affected but omanmori is going to be removed anyways.

Crunchyroll is better off without these anyway. Animes depicting children sexually disgust me. I just hope they don't decide to take the whole site down and all its other animes with it.

Nah, nothing will happen to crunchyroll.
I laughed when I saw this:

http://www.mangafox.com/search/genres/Lolicon/ (Lolicon has its own section)
http://www.mangafox.com/search/genres/Shotacon/ (Shotacon has its own section)

Anime is cartoon. It's not real children that they are using.
They can't do anything about it.

Plus Crunchyroll is PG13. Some anime is cut and editted to fit the PG13 status. So that article should stop bitching.

I don't really think this is going to amount to much of anything. I guess if the series have to go down, then they'll go down, eh? Illegal is illegal. And then that'll be that. I think it'd be bizarre if the entire site went down just because of two shows or whatever.

sigh this goes for well 90% of all anime if you think about it, name one anime that doesn't have an awkward sexual scene every now and then and name one anime in which all charterers are over the age of 18, that law trying to do this is just broad as it long.

Yeah, that's crap, that's a bullshit way of accusing someone.

I don't think they can file a suit against CR. The site isn't supporting child pornography so there can't be a case.
All they should do is tell CR to just remove those cartoons & move on. They don't have to shut it down

You're right, most animes do have underage innuendo in there somewhere. However, there's a fair gap between an anime that has the occasional awkward moment and an anime that has a 14 year old masturbating in every second ep between being fondled or conveniently falling down stairs for some shameless fan-service.

I doubt we'll see a law passed that removes all animes with so much as an awkward comedy scene (even if that's what they're trying to push), but we might (and hopefully will) see an end to animes putting children in sexually provocative scenes, and underage fan-service.

Where do people get the idea that ANYTHING is going to get shut down? This is an article done on some random blog-esque site. Where is there any mention of filing a suit against any of the sites mentioned? To me, that article is just a list of personal opinions by the writer. It's not some government official giving statements or a lawyer filing a suit. All in all, this is just some kind of moral outrage of a single person.

Oh and there's nothing illegal on any of those sites. If there's been a crime anywhere, it would have to be fansubs and scanslations of the various shows and manga listed. But that has to do with copyright and intellectual property, not child pornography.

FYI, lolicon (or any other hentai subcategory) is not illegal in the US as far as I know. There's been several cases on this. If it was, there would be a whole lot more people in jail right now and a lot of sites to shut down.

It's also quite laughable to have the article writer claim that Vampire Bund, Omamori Himari, Chu Bra!! and KnJ are illegal. The companies that bought the license to distribute these shows would be in a lot of trouble then. If anything, Funimation and other companies that deal with these shows have good lawyers. Don't be so naive to think they would have looked past something of such a magnitude.

What anyone thinks about the content of said manga and anime is a whole other issue compared to what is legal or not. If you don't like it, don't watch it. We as viewers and readers have that option.
