They are fictional characters. They should work with their own rights in their own world. If their world says they have no rights, then, they have no rights. That's that! As an extreme example, If the character lives in a "world" where everyone lives their daily life naked it's perfectly ok to be naked, but it's a crime to be dressed. That's how I believe

"Media depictions of sexual violence against women constitute a violation of the human rights of women." I think they are saying that depictions of violence against women violate the rights of actual women, not any rights of cartoons.

Actually the feminism movement has been high-jacked by a radical moral supremacist agenda. It has dirtied the original feminism movement which has largely obtained its goal at least to the extent it is not extensively politically active. But from the current political landscape a legion of self-righteous fundamentalists bigots advocate the end to freedom of expression under the guise of claiming to protect women and children. It's fake, it's evil and it's dangerous.

Modern Feminism is not Egalitarianism. Women's Sufferage, the sexual revolution and human rights movements of the 20th century were noble, earnest crusades for social justice. There are virtually no more Dragons to slay; Women's Rights movements are not human's rights movements, if they were, there would be demonstrable interest in valid, REAL Men's rights issues as well.
Ignoring objective, scientific facts about human biology, along with Issues such as the "wage gap" bear out all important truths regarding this matter: Feminism is a politically motivated philosophy that subverts objective facts, it has an agenda, and it sure isn't equality.

If prosecutions are leveled, convictions made, and bans enforced against fiction, where does it end? Do we censor Revenge of the Sith for it's depictions of genocide, Fight Club or Monster for it's violence against men? That would sound absurd, as it should-- but if it's a piece of consumable media that piques the ire of feminists groups, they almost have a social license to see it extricated from society,

I don't think that the characters have rights. I can understand if someone has a problem with how a woman is depicted and feel angry about how a woman, real or not, is manipulated. To some it may be degrading. That being said, my opinion is that the characters themselves do not have rights.
