"4) When the series starts heading away from the original plot. One moment you're going along with the characters, laughing ('cause it's a comedy).. the next moment you're going, "Waaaah! Why did so-and-so have to die!?" Honestly, don't turn into a drama/tragedy out of nowhere!"

Sounds more like genre shift to me.

Mien top five buzz-kills for manga are:

1. ECU Syndrome, otherwise known as "Extreme Cliche Usage Syndrome." The extreme over-usage of shitty, awful cliches that you could identify in any manga.

2. Copy-Paste character archetypes. You know, when the characters' personalities were selected from any-show-ever. Complete lack of uniqueness, ya know?

3. When characters have a weak, half-assed conflict that drives them to do what they do. It fails as a interest-well and it fails even more as comedy. "Oh, you went on an epic quest to do whatever in who-gives-a-fuckistan just because someone said your shoes are ugly?" I'm tearing my hair out just thinking about it.

4. The love-retarded lead male character. WE HAVE ALREADY SEEN THIS SHIT COUNTLESS TIMES FOR GODS SAKE

5. When the story is just so awful that no matter what happens, all I read is "bullshit! that'd never happen!" Like all the scenes were the male character falls ontop of the female character and ends up in some crazy, improbable kinky-ass position. FUCK

1. A character is so stupid they make me want to jump into their world and beat them with a smart stick.
2. A character gets kidnapped so many times that I start thinking their love interest should just let them be kidnapped and not save them anymore.
3. I can't tell two or more characters apart.
4. I realize I've read it before.
And number 5. I saw the anime first so now my brain is "ruined" for reading the original, which sucks because I like to read then watch but I often don't realize that there's a manga out there till its too late.

Mostly on shoujo manga because that's the majority of what I read.

1. It's so darn smutty...just...WHY?
2. When they talk about something really complicated for a long time... (This was the case for Dengeki Daisy, it was about the virus thing. I still regret it though ERGGGHHH)
3. When it's just too creepy. (I can't read past the first chapter of Corpse Party, not at night.)
4. Cliche plot and characters.
5. WHEN MY SHIPS DON'T BECOME CANON

5) Too much fanservice which is why I drop a lot of manga and anime.
4) When characters start out bassass and goes into back story where a year before the character was a completely useless and the point where they turn really awesome was really something lame.
3) when things get creepy awkward and all incestish where you just want to see the main character do something to end it.
2) When the story drags on too long and ends up off the wall and the main character has no chance of escaping his fate of having a personality change.
1) When a series has a lame lead where the guy is useless week and totally perverted and isnt even appreciative having just one girl like him but wants every girl to love his worthless hide that should have been put into place when the first problem arrived kicking his worthless tail.

One more I forgot was that the mangaka tries to force the story to end only ruining the effect of the whole series making you feel you wasted your time.

5. When fanservice ruins the plot and everything. (There's the H-stuff for things like that. )
4. When dialogues become cliche. (It gets boring you know. )
3. When character development is poor.
2. When events stray from the intended plot.
1. When the plot gets repetitive, then you lose the feeling of any suspense and excitement.

Off the list but the most important reason: When you have a very slow connection and the page takes forever to load, you ragequit and quit reading the manga. Haha.

5. When there are obvious plotholes everywhere you look and the mangakas don't even try to make it seem like there aren't.

4. When there's that one character that's just so annoying that I have to just put the manga down to avoid exploding and ripping the manga apart.

3. When a light manga suddenly turns really serious. For Angel Beats and Madoka Magica, this worked very well, but for most mangas the mangakas absolutely fail at trying to change the overall mood of their work. It's kind of like that little girl with a little curl - when it's good, it's very good; but when it's bad, it's...ugh...

2. Bad art. And I mean BAD. ART. I can usually stand the art style of most mangas, but when the art is so bad I can't even tell what's going on, I just can't stand it! I'm sorry, I guess it's just a pet peeve of mine.

1. When the story is so obvious I know what's going to happen in the next chapter without even reading it. Boring things are boring - enough said.
