Zhemos88, I notice the whole ping test didn't work, but thats probably because of your router detecting the attempt to test for packet loss as a udp flood, so doesn't bother me overly much. I am pming you some specific instructions to try a different server to stream from that is in DC instead of NYC.

I did everything and it still continues to show a black screen or it starts, but stops after a few seconds.

The streaming server you are using is in Chicago. Think you could do a pingtest and speed test to servers in chicago instead of your closest so I can get a better idea of the throughput to the actual location you are watching from? Also, when you say it stays black, does it not show the crunchyroll logo with the circling bar that shows its even loading?

Its still pretty good.


It gets extremely choppy. Sometimes it will start and play in spurts (stopping repeatably) and then it stops playing at all about a minute in.
Other times all I get is just the crunchyroll loading logo and then a blank screen.

Edit: I noticed this problem on Thursday, I didn't have any problems on Tuesday.

You seem to be having a problem that is a bit too common which is that some servers (in this case the one in Chicago) you just can't get a decent stream from. The only way to fix this is to change your DNS servers off of your ISPs to an open DNS servers so that it will hopefully pull a different server IP or to use the hosts file to manually change to a different server. If you are still having problems, PM me and I can give you a couple servers to test out streaming from that aren't that server in Chicago.

I got it to work this morning by cycling my router and modem.
It stopped working again though. Do you still think its my DNS?
Why would it suddenly become a problem? I've never had any trouble with it before.

Hi, been enjoying site very much, but im having problems loading the videos lately, the player loads but it just stays black, appreciate any help you can give me. I also just updated my java, because i couldnt get a packet loss test., this is the result after that.

i just downgraded to 3.5 and its still not loading the videos. at this point im sure its crunchyroll. its not the computer, i checked on the 3 and its not the browser

People on Charter Within about 450 miles of Chicago, go to http://www.crunchyroll.com/forumtopic-640595/fail-to-load-videos/ And follow the instructions there, it should get you passed this temporary issue.

The most recent Firefox version (3.6.4) which I was prompted to download today does not work with the player on Crunchyroll. As a previous poster described, you just get a black screen and the page says "Done".

Although I am a premium member and logged in as such I can only watch the first 2 minutes of drama Cinderella man and posessed. But this only happens with the episodes that are available to everyone so i just don't understand. Please help

Please go to the following page and select either H264(SD) or 480P as your default video quality. After doing this, you should no longer experience any problems.
