I cannot get any video to work for more than a couple of seconds before it starts hitching up. The problem isn't limited to any one of my computers or any one browser. It happens regardless of the definition - SD, 480p, 720p - I choose. This is a fairly recent problem, within the last month or so. Information for my computer:

Operating System: Windows Vista Home Premium 32-Bit
Web Browser: Mozilla Firefox 6.0
Flash Version: 10,3,183,5
Processor: Genuine Intel CPU T2080
Processor Speed: 1.73 GHz
Graphics Card: Mobile Intel 945 Express Chipset Family
RAM: 2GB
Free space on C: 18 GB

^ I just tried streaming from the same video servers that you are and didn't experience any problems. It's possible that there is a network routing issue between, your network and our the video servers.

What I would suggest trying is changing your DNS so that you hopefully stream from a different server in a different area which most likley will not go through the same route.

It persists for me as well. Getting close a month of this silliness. I've been a paying subscriber for quiet some time now and this is horrible. I can't even watch shows in SD without these problems! Starting to have to reconsider my subscription.

Just started digging a bit more.

Looks like the issue is with the servers I get back for crunchy.fcod.llnwd.net (or at least since that's what y'all are having us test I assume it's those servers). My ISP returns exactly the same set of servers for the host lookup that I get from OpenDNS

Thankfully, I've got a couple of other DNS servers I can point to.

Changing up my DNS to one of my other alternative servers I get a couple of different IP addresses and that appears to almost completely resolve the issue (a few very short pauses) for me and lets me bump my playback definition again :)

So... original:

[tykeal@tykes-place ~]$ host crunchy.fcod.llnwd.net
crunchy.fcod.llnwd.net has address 68.142.94.160
crunchy.fcod.llnwd.net has address 68.142.94.170

With updated DNS:
[tykeal@tykes-place ~]$ host crunchy.fcod.llnwd.net
crunchy.fcod.llnwd.net has address 68.142.104.175
crunchy.fcod.llnwd.net has address 68.142.104.169

I got Black Screen of Death expect Adobe doesnt load at all and I get a half white and black screen. I check my Internet, Adobe and all are up to date and are not the problem, I am also able to play videos on other sites except this one. I'm using IE8.

Im having Video Playback problems and I dont know why since everything checks out and its up to date :(

EDIT: fixed had to uninstall and reinstall Adobe Flash which was up to date but for this case for me it was VERY VERY rare and never had to do in these 4-5 years since I had this PC and these 2 years watching CR hope it never happens again.

First my apologies for the double post, should have clicked "Reply" when I tried this the first time...

Operating System: Windows Vista Ultimate 32-Bit
Web Browser: IE 9 ver 9.0.8112.16421 or Chrome 13.0.782.215
Flash Version: 10,3,183,5 and 10.3.183.7
Processor: Genuine Intel CPU Quad Core Q6600
System Ram 4Gig
Processor Speed: 2.4GHz
Graphics Card: Nvidia GTX 460 RAM: 1GB driver: 8.17.12.8026
Free space on C: 53GB

Problem: Flash video Freezes after about 3 minutes of playback. Started on the 22nd of August. I can refresh the page and the video will continue from where it left off, I can also click pause, drop the video back 5 seconds and click play and the video will continue, again for about 3 minutes (although the time is usually less). 480p 720p behave exactly the same way, it's not anyone video in particular, it's all of them.

Thought it might be network related so I tried changing DNS servers, but alas this persists.

I'm pretty much out of ideas, I'm almost certain it's my PC but I've never had trouble with flash videos before (that were'nt related to network issues). Any help you can provide would be appreciated.

Weirdest thing. This is my new provider, and my old provider worked just fine. nothing was changed except the modem. Doing clean install on my test box, new service: no worky, old Service: worky.
New service claim they do not throttle, yet once 2mb stream is reached, download rate zero's out and resets (if i am lucky) or just stalls They say the modem is fine from their end (remote service check into modem even when monitored while showing them the zero out.)

Youtube works, hulu works, newgrounds does not, crunchyroll does not.

What I see: SD works...a little bit. It has to rebuffer every 1/4 sec. mainly due to the 6kb/s-90kb/s-42kb/s (min-max-avg) stream rate I get.
480 will not work until much much much muuuuch later. (20mins or so, and that gives me about 4-5 sec of video/audio
720: takes about 1hour or two to get 4-5 sec.

My network speed from my local area.

My network speed to the nearst test point near your servers.

I've never EVER had any problems with CR regardless of what ISP i've been using... and i've had Telia 3 times and ComHem once. Now i have Telia 60 mbit, and my problems started 5 days ago....

This is really bad, CR... i hope you will find the problem soon, or lots of people are gonna quit their subscriptions... anywho, i guess this will be pretty bad PR for you.

Anyway, i've tried everything listed, still only got black screen, as if the episodes just refuses to load. I found out that it might start working sometime, if u press F5 a million times for a 2 hours or so, then when i FINALLY get the episode running, it runs as smooth as a baby buttom. So, i wonder, if it's not a "SLOW STREAM" problem, it's a connection problem. As if i just cant connect to the episode.

Possible fix:

Okay, did some more fooling around with this problem, and i say, if ur living in scandinavia and have problems loading your episodes, try swtiching your DNS server to OpenDNS, which is;

DNS server:

208.67.222.222
respektive
208.67.220.220

I hope this fix will work for some time for me, and i wish you all good luck.

Interesting. I've had the black screen problem since Sunday too, and the changing to a different DNS server fixed it immediately! CR should really look into their stream provides (I think they use llnw.net) It seems like they are sending some users to non-working servers!
