I have had major problems with stutter and freezes in videos, it's worst with 1080p and 720p is not much better. 480p works most of the time. Tried watching on Mac, PC and Xbox but it's the same with all of them. Have a 100/100 lan connection so should work flawless, never had any problems at all with Netflix or Viaplay. My system should not be the problem since It's i7 ivy bridge with Geforce GT 650m SLI. All the software is up to date btw, tried with Safari and Firefox for mac and Firefox with Windows 8. Anyhow if this does not get better I'll cancel my subscription, no point in paying for a service that does not work.

Sorry that I haven't popped in recently!
Things have been increasingly busy with the release of the Xbox app, our Store and adding the ability to contact us directly from the iOS apps.
E-Mail will continue to be the fastest way to get official support from CR Staff.
Just use the 'Contact Us' link at the bottom of the page.

Best,
-Baker

I'm experiencing the same stuttering and freezing as others have mentioned. Also I tried with multiple PC's and browsers.

I am also having this freezing/buffering issue. I am accessing crunchyroll via the Panasonic
Viera app. Everything worked well until yesterday.

Unusable service tonight from crunchyroll, can't get through 2-3 minutes without stuttering/buffering.

Again can't see anything wrong, speedtest is giving good results, netflix is fine, watched a 2560*1440 video on youtube with no buffering at all, yet a 480p video on crunchyroll is not watchable.

I seem to have problems on and off myself. I'm not sure what the deal is. I emailed in about it at one point. I was told to set the local storage to unlimited in my settings. That fixed it at the time. But the last few days, it's been right back to stopping every couple minutes. If I watch it on iOS or PS3, it works just fine. But my computer doesn't like to play an episode all the way through.

The first time I had the problem, I confirmed that my computer met all of the guidelines in "Video Troubleshooting" in the help section. But still, I have issues.

One point is that CR uses a different CDN for Flash video delivery to browsers than they do for devices. The former is served by Akamai, while the latter is served via Limelight.

Both CDN servers close to you may themselves be fine, but there may be a bottleneck between you and the Akamai server. If things work fine every once in a while (especially in the same time period), that is very likely the case. In such cases, sometimes changing your DNS can force a different route or even cause a different CDN server to be selected.

I get problems with playback all the time, I honestly think that either the servers or the routers they are using are being overloaded.
CPU: I7 2600k @ 4.8ghz
RAM: 16gb DDR3 @ 2000mhz
GPUs: GTX 660 Ti in SLI and a GTX 560ti for physx
OS: Win 7 ultimate x64 service pack 1
HDD's: 120gb SDD and x2 2tb 7200 rpm storage drives
Internet connection: 100mb down/ 5mb up charter ISP.

Granted we don't have cisco equipment in our house so I have no way of telling if its truely a routing issue or not but I can say we have pretty high end equipment on the network side of things and I still get connection problems all the time.

I am still happy to support and pay for crunchy-roll with even 480p settings but I wish I could watch 1080p again.

Would these play back issues effect things like the Roku channel? because I was getting playback issues on that earlier this morning (11am NYC time), maybe it was just that. I don't often have problems on my Roku with CR.

i am going to mention this because it has been half a year now almost that this issue has been affecting me.

after watching a single video or so, the site refuses to play any other videos, usually for days to a week. on average if i watch a single video then click on another, the player will load but never the video. in the past several months this has been extremely constant.

it has completely intruppted any desire to even visit the Crunchyroll site and i am beginning to wonder if its worth even keeping a membership to a site that flat out will not work for me.

tbh i have been extremely lazy in my ignoring of this site and keeping up with the anime i like here since well before oct due to this issue. i almost never visit the site as a result...

today i decided to see if the issued had fixed, was able to watch a single episode of a single show, and now no other videos will load for me. it seems obvious this issue has not even been addressed at this point, or even noticed...

It hasn't been noticed because you may be the only person who has experienced it. Can you give me the details of your setup? Browser/OS/flash version/ any addons you have installed. That sort of thing.

Now you said that it will load one episode but after that the videos don't load anymore? Can you tell me exactly what happens and if there are any errors in console when it happens (F12).

IE loads the page mostly fine for me so this might be a problem with something on your computer. Do you have any problems with any other sites or is it exclusive to this one?

watched a single video which worked like it would be expected too. after that video was over i clicked ahead to the next video before the first fully ended.

went to the next video and while the player loaded the video never started or gives me the option to start, basically i get a blank player, buttons and options work but no video. Stream never starts.

this now effects any video i attempt to watch, even the first one that did work will not work anymore.

only errors shown are with twitter widgets.

i would hope this stuff is unrelated tho.

likely also unrelated, my system is 64 Bit..

another oddity. My Firefox test was a sucess, Ironicly this is the second instance of something within Chrome being a issue, first time i had a major CR issue with chrome it was due to issues with the most. have to do a full test to make sure its not a fluke, will try a entire CR episode, randomly chosen. if next video fails to load the issue is persisting across differant browsers.

Edit: Additional Information as of 2:30pm. left video to run with auto play set, while system eventually went into sleep mode pulling up another video still works on Firefox. Next video had successfully started and played Via Auto play as indicated by the CR progress bars and the fact the video that was on the Sleep saved session was at least 1 past the initial. This is promising but highlights the possible fact of there being issues with Chrome. Still cant load the site with Internet Explorer.

so... my videos are freezing as well (all qualities, in chrome and IE both. I haven't tried Firefox yet, but it's pretty obvious it's on your end).

I'm on the free trial of the premium at the moment, but it's interesting... the videos only freeze while I'm logged in. If I go to the page without logging in, they play just fine in SD.

At present I'd rather put up with ads than pay the membership, just because the membership videos don't actually play. Given how much I love marathon anime, I was hoping this would replace netflix for me...

But now I kinda think I might just let it lapse. It looks like you've had this problem since 2010 without fixing it, and that seems kinda... ... not good.
