Help with Video Playback Problems
|
bump from months ago, this crap still happens. currently trying to (re-)watch nichijou 21 and boy is it painful.... like 1/5x rt with so many pauses. You'd think some clear answer would be available now. Or some analysis or something, seriously higher someone and find the problem.
In the mean time, hmm, what's this daisuki.net ... I wonder if they're having problems playing stuff like crunchy does... Perhaps I should stop paying crunchy and go to them instead, hm? |

All I know is it'd be nice to get SOME information on this issue...
if its not resolved by the end of this month for me I'll no longer be a CR supporter. Right now I have NetFlix and it streams without any issue what so ever. |

You'll likely only get one ad every several episodes, as that is what most people have reported and I experienced. It would do you good to experience streaming from a service that has an infrastructure that is a lot closer to that of CR than the juggernaut that is Netflix (which has 150 times as many paid subscribers). |

Yes, that's my real age.

The point is that they are not really finding what the problem is and engineering a way around it. All you get is a "we're looking into it" and the unsubstantiated belief that it's the CDN's fault. So isolate the problem and adapt or at least post analyzation of it. 1/150th of a large number is still a large number which means they have some muscle to flex to fix/engineer something.

I'm getting real sick of the runaround too. Using the report video problem link is a joke too. The best I've gotten from that is an email telling me to try a different DNS and post a traceroute using that. I did and that was the last I heard. Today I had to run nslookup using 4 different DNS servers before I found a CDN server that was at least watchable, the rest would not even play for a second without stuttering. I have a shortcut to editing my hosts file. WTF does it take? Skip a few cons and spend the booth fees and travel expenses on someone who can figure it out, the current staff either is not capable or doesn't care.
