Are you a middle child? If you are? Tell me something about it? Is it a good thing or a bad thing?

Well...I know a few friends that are having a hard time because their parents treat them unfairly because their the Middle child...like me....I often feel that my parents love my older sis and younger bro.... but I know that they love us all equally...it's just sometimes i feel very sensitive and think they love them more...

anyway...What do you feel about being the Middle Child?

Yeah, it seems being in the middle has alot of disadvantages unless there's something special that marks you out different.

I'm the youngest in my "mother's" Family...

-_-' and i'm the last girl... her child.. the older brother is in the middle.. My mom always gets angry at him.. and then.. they talk friendly...

I am a middle but its really cool, you don't have to wait for them to show affection , but you have , i know because they can depend on you , you can judge things from a different prspective , you can deal with any matter till the end , they will relay on you all the time you just have to wait a little bit and work hard to show your spot and the result will astonish you ....

my sis yume_chan is our middle sibling^__^
well i'm the youngest and were kinda close...hee...hee...
as what i've observed my mom is kinda strict to her
(when she want to go out with her friends my mom sometimes don't let her...
when i ask my mom she let's me go!!...hee hee)
well she's more strict to my si than me.....
i really like her and she is kinda my idol^__^
about my parents well they treat us fairly but my mom really is kinda more strict to my
sis!!
well if she posts here she'll explain!!@__@

Being the middle child sucks because you'll get blame for everything that your younger siblings do because you're older and you should had known better. Then again, since you're not the oldest you dont get the "right" to tell others what to do. So everything will be your fault just because you're in the middle. Word form experience.

well when i was a kid my sis takes care of me and help me to wear cloths, socks..etc..
then when i've done something wrong and get hurt!
my sis gets blamed....i felt sorry whenever i see her getting sermons to my parents
well i was kinda naughty girl and plays a lot outside(i always fell down while running so i got lots of wounds and marks at my leg..hee hee)
well as i grow up realized my mistakes..well i was really a kid back then(inocence!!)
now?? i understand her...that's why i really like her for still continueing to take care of me^__^....she really stand all those bad things/sermons/and lectures which was i was supposidly my fault!! hee-hee!!

i wonder what she'll post!!

i don't feel like a middle child..
in fact..i don't know if i am..
however..
i think being the third oldest is tough enough.
it's a HUGE responsibility.

^ I think that would be classified as Middle child syndrome. From what i have read about it, children often feel that they are neither here nor there. In their view, the roles of the older and younger siblings are more clearly defined. They may also feel cheated of parental attention that is given to the first-born achiever and the dependent youngest child. Some psychologists have given this condition calling it "the middle-child syndrome". Though i think there is some truth in this given the fact that i know quite a few people who have experienced some form of this syndrome. I was the eldest child so i would not have a clue.
