Polls shows 48% support reform package
A poll by the Hong Kong University has found that 48-percent of the public wants to see the political reform package passed, which is two points higher than the previous survey. And a total of 53-percent say they are against the so-called "de facto referendum" campaign.
The poll, sponsored by Now TV, found that only 44-percent of voters would cast their ballots in the May 16th territory-wide by-election.
Lead researcher Robert Chung said the results showed that the exercise had failed to gain majority support.
