Mexicans do celebrate Cinco the Mayo,Like ME!!I'm Mexican =D The BIGGEST celebration is in Los Angeles, and the last time I went there(2008)I didn't a person that wasn't mexican, cuz they were all talking in spanish,The about 50 americans I saw compares like nothing to the 600+ mexicans I saw People just need to research before they post things.....The Big Parade in Mexico,Guerrero last Year, was also awsome =D I went to mexico last year

when we say mexicans we refer to natural born mexicans still living in mexico not mexican americans that dont know crap about where they come from and jump at the first things white america dictates as a holiday or use it to make money at the expense of ignorant persons such as yourself.

in mexico 5th of may is celebrated with a military parade. after all its a memorial of sorts for the soldiers that died defending mexico from france on the battle of pueble in 1862

the parade is meant as a memorial and not for an excuse to get drunk

You lived there till you were 6? Come on! when you are younger than 6 EVERYTHING looks awesome or gigantic... this applies to a celebration; in other words: kids DO exaggerate.

Please don't try to say things to excuse your lack of knowledge about this date when in reality it is as jer5500 said. We, real Mexicans, DO NOT celebrate 5th of May.

I know I'm exaggerated, but half my family still lives there, and this May 5th,(In my small town or village or whatever)it was celebrated as in,my cousin sent pictures, carmen(her)she's 17 and Alexis(16 year old girl)and it was the everyear dance,it takes place in the center of town, and there is this large tree(christmas tree)that people decorate according to holiday, and there was dancing and people....but..then again you guys are still right =)
