I signed up for the dollar thing just basically for support because I doubt I'll be watching much of anything over the next 5 days. But I was wondering what actually changes. I know you get access to the simulcasts of the anime, but that's pretty useless to me because I need my subtitles!

Other than that is it just a one week delay? You don't get any actual bonus content, you just get videos quicker and without ads?

Also I was wondering if there's any chance of getting One Piece on here. Since you have Naruto as your big show, I'd imagine you have a good relationship with Jump.

Well, besides early simulcast by one week (with subtitles in case you were wondering), you also get a few exclusive shows, a few off the top of my head being Fairy Tail and the original Naruto.

Also, pretty much all videos are in 480P HD quality, much more enjoyable than Standard Definition received without any membership package.

The ads on videos and most pages except the home page are gone, so no waiting and no flashing of other ads in the background on the page.

You get a little star next to your name, and access to an exclusive forum area for Premium members as well. I'm not sure if that's included in the 6 day special or not, but I'd assume so.
Premium membership is pretty much Anime and Drama memberships combined. Anime membership is everything I've listed above, Drama membership is everything above replaced with Drama shows. Hope I helped!

Oh, so you do get special shows? Is there a listing somewhere of these? I'm looking at the listings but I don't see any "premium" section or anything like that.

I think Fairy Tale is a members only type anime but the videos didn't stick around long. But other then that... no. All other shows can be watched as a free user after 7 days but with ads.

The original Naruto series is also a show you have to be a premium member to watch. Honestly the video quality goes up quite a bit at worst in premium mode it is 420P with many shows also being 720P. Not to mention no advertisements other than the background image of the main page and the related merchandise sections some shows have. It is easily worth 7 bucks a month if you like anime and enjoy the shows on the site, not to mention the special they are running right now as well is sort of a no brainer.

I believe they were referring to this: http://www.crunchyroll.com/group/CR_Premium_Members/forum

It's quite trivial, tbh. Since it was designed using the CR Groups feature, I haven't even bothered to join it. Judging by the number of topics in it, though, I don't think you're missing all that much.

Don't think so hard about it. You get Anime legally one week quicker than regular members that have subtitles in English.

Your list is Library -> Anime

I see your account profile shows you are an anime member, not an all access member or drama member. That would explain why you are seeing ads on the PC for a drama program. What I don't understand is why you don't see them on your iPhone.

In North America, its mostly the quicker access, no ads, and 480p available on almost everything, and 720p and even 1080p available on more recent anime. At the moment, there's only the on-for-four-weeks Fairy Tail episodes and the original Naruto anime catalog that's premium-only in North America.

Also I was wondering if there's any chance of getting One Piece on here. Since you have Naruto as your big show, I'd imagine you have a good relationship with Jump.

I'd never say no chance, but its not something to hold your breath for. Naruto and Bleach are not manga that appear in Shueisha's Shonen Jump Weekly and Viz's Shonen Jump Alpha ... they are anime that broadcast on TV Tokyo, and are distributed in the US by Viz Media. So getting a Bleach deal done was pretty similar to getting the original Naruto deal done, with pretty much the same parties at the table, except of course for different manga-ka.

Getting Shueisha's Shonen Jump manga that air on Tokyo TV is not a big problem: besides Naruto and Bleach, theres' Gintama, Beelzebub, Sket Dance and Hunter x Hunter, and Crunchyroll still has all 203 Reborn! episodes.

One Piece is broadcast by Fiji TV and distributed in the US by FUNimation, including simulcast streaming at their OnePiece.com website. The next series that Crunchyroll sublicenses from FUNimation ... will be the first one. All the ones where they overlap, Crunchyroll got the streaming license direct from Japan first, and then later FUNimation picked it up. And when that happens, the series normally gets taken off of Crunchyroll three or six months after it finished.
