Yep-While love at first sight is exciting, chances are it's not destiny. The more you get to know a friend of the opposite sex (sometimes same sex),the more attractive that person becomes to you mentally, physically and spiritually. All that's left is for the phermonesand hormones tokickin and you've hit the jackpot. A relationship that starts out on an honest deeper level and then grows into love will last.

Yeah, at least I've noticed it from personal experience...only problem was neither of us realized it until she had a boyfriend and i left to go to college in another state. I was so used to being friend-zoned for being the "nice guy" I didn't think I had made progress in another direction...so that was a fun fail experience in my life =D...but yeah I'd say most of the time one of them is bound to fall for the other and therefore sometimes they both will.

Actually, a love relationship with a best friend is likely to be stronger than traditional attraction: you already have trust and understanding from the friendship that isn't tied up with illusions about love or sex, which helps you to be open and discuss things when your emotions get tangled up. OTOH, some folks get weirded out by the change in the relationship and can't accept it.

Yes but the downside to it is if you break up you might ruin your friendship you had before you starting dating them.

Very much can! The upside is, if you break up with the person, you were already true friends, hopefully - that means you can still be friends even after a breakup.

Easily possible and typically a horrible idea. I lost an extremely close friend because of it. Unrequited love is better in the long run unless you really think it can work out, because if it doesn't things will never be the same.

I was always under the impression that Love was the ultimate form of friendship? Do your parents not consider each other friends?

My best friend loves me, and she a girl, she wishes we could get married she finally told me... but... i'm not gay or bi, but if i were going to try it I would try it with her because there are things i adore about her. Probably more things than most people who start dating have that they really like about someone.
But, to me, she's so precious and she's my best friend.
Sounds like lots of best friends fall in love, especially males and females.
Well here is another example of female and female.
