So, Chaozhou and Teochew is the sam dialect?
I can speak Chaozhou, but it's hard to find ppl, who are talking Chaozhou too. its not very in common ,is it?

It is one and the same, the word 'Teochew' comes from the pronunciation of 'Chaozhou' in Chaozhou, as in:


Wo si teo chew nang- le jai wo da mi gai boh?


Which is a rather crude rendering into English.

Also, I think it is common, Wikipedia says that there are over 10.000.000 speakers, but, it is wikipedia we are talking about.

cantonese and shanghainese. It's funny 'cause some people who speak cantonese think the people who speak shanghainese are angry and some people who speak shanghainese think people who speak cantonese are angry.
