Don't care personally as long as it's translated accurately but if you could get those guys to do this, that would be pretty sweet and unique for the site.

Dattebayo are the best at doing Bleach subs, period. Don't fix something that isn't broken. I want all the stuff that's unnecessary to sub subbed, and with quality.

Yes, I would definitely like them to do the subbing. I´ve been following [DB] for about 3-4 years and I would definitely like to see them do the official subbing of Bleach (and Naruto S as well but it looks like that ship has sailed) as their subs are of excellent quality. Actually (since noone has mentioned it so far in this poll) [DB] themselves wants to sub Bleach for CR (see http://dattebayo.com/pr/134), and on the business side, having 200000 viewers join from their side isn´t such a bad thing

This is just messed up. I haven't signed the petition yet (if i still can), but I'm debating whether or not I should due to the repercussions it will have. First of all I would like to point out that:

-I was drawn into watching anime back in 2005 by a group of friends that watched Bleach through DB's (and at that time Lunar's) fansubbing.
-I learned of this website and this so-called petition about Bleach streaming thanks to the latest post on Dattebayo's site, and I'd just like to point out a few things:

The anime industry nowadays is huge, no way around that..the thing is, how exactly did it get this huge? You think it was due to their effort only? You think that it's simply due to animes' pure awesomeness? I read a bit of the previous thread regarding the petition and it disgusted me. You pamper and flaunt so much about how we should all support the mangakas and watch animes "legally" and whatnot that you forget how this all started.

Sure, Dattebayo actually *is* registered company, but that's because they decided to come out of the shadows and "do something more" of what they were, most fansubbing groups are simply some friends with a label to signal their effort. I shouldn't really have to say this aloud but it seems like people forget about what's the problem here.
What is fansubbing and how did it all start?
As the name clearly states it's a group of fans of a certain anime that got together and, in order to allow more people to enjoy it and try to draw more people into the loop, started subbing it. In the beginning no one cared, the companies all thought "If they want to do it go ahead, the less work we have".

But..the fandom grew, and they saw there was this huge chance for increased revenue that they were losing. Yes, that's exactly it, it's not like mangakas (or anyone for that matter) gets less food on their plate because of Fansubbing, it's because they know that if they kill the source the "crackheads" will have to get their "crack" from somewhere else, maybe umm..somewhere under their control, by their rules and under a premium at their choice. Don't you dare thinking that websites like this one exist to make it easier to watch anime for a larger audience and such, that's merely a by-product, it's business boys and girls..it's single purpose is profit...even if they don't charge you anything they still get money out if this from ads and such, don't know about the moderators but that doesn't really matter to what I'm trying to say here.

But this isn't any news to you (or at least it shouldn't be), as neither is them trying to kill fansubbing. They use it to increase their products' popularity, bring it to a larger audience, and then they give them a small pat on the back and tell them "thanks a lot suckers but we've had enough".
This is reality, in my country it's nearly impossible to watch anime "legally", the sources are so scarce, even on cable there are only a couple of channels dedicated to cartoons and such, and but a handful of other channels that provide that kind of content. As an example, this one recently created channel started emitting Bleach, dubbed unfortunately, and its just..terrible. So terrible that if it weren't for fansubbing and internet I wouldn't be a Bleach fan, I wouldn't have bought the manga up to the latest printed volume and the DVD movies, I wouldn't be a anime fan, heck I wouldn't even know what anime is.

Because if it were up to these companies alone, we'd all be screwed inside out, and you can pretty much generalise that from the anime industry to any other. If it were up to them to make the financial efforts to popularity-wise turn anime into what it is today it would've never happened. Except for the authors themselves companies behind the products don't give a rat's ass about you or the quality of the service they provide, as long as they keep getting your cash. Another good example is Microsoft. How did Windows get to be the most used OS in the entire world? Piracy. If it never existed the % of Windows users would've never come close of what it is today. So they enjoy the ride and when they get tired of it they bail out. Some of you saying that we should support the anime industry certainly aren't even using a legal version of Windows, you god damn hypocrites.

And this is what pisses me off. If these guys were to invest the money they are spending on destroying fansubbing in broadening their audience it would help them a lot more. But its human nature I guess..you see a flying dollar bill and instead of looking around for the person that dropped it the first thing you do is try to grab it yourself.

Honestly, I couldn't be happier to see another site streaming anime, I couldn't be happier to see how huge of a fandom some works have, just be sure you have your facts straight, keep the quality standards high and specially put credit where credit is due.
Don't bite the hand that fed you for so long.

I support the offering of Bleach on Crunchyroll, but only support it conditionally. That condition being that Dattebayo is allowed to do the subbing of the show. They are supporters of legal ways to get great anime and because of them alone I've purchased every americanized season to date and also have bought more bleach merchandise that I have room for. So I feel that in allowing Crunchyroll and Dattebayo to provide service for Bleach will be a smart decision in increasing profits of the makers of the show. I would have given up on the show long ago if I didn't know Dattebayo was subbing it and I got to see how epic the anime gets later on in the series.

Hi all, i've just signed up to offer my view on what's happening with Bleach.

I have signed the petition, BUT, I would hope the people at CR don't see this as WE WIN or some juvenile dipshit 'we want to be the biggest in the world, even if it means stabbing our friends in the back' stuff. Quality anime matters. DB deliver that in it's fansubs, and it would be a terrible shame if they had to drop it because people with enough bandwidth to stream the show 'won'

A lot of people in the UK still don't have access to fast reliable broadband, and prefer it if they can download the file and watch it later, I am of that group. Please consider working together, imagine the frustration if your fave anime you'd watched for 250+ episodes were suddenly ripped from your ability to watch it. We can't all stream smoothly. Taking this into account when you take these actions would be useful, plus it would help having DB, and their 200,000 fans on your side (and site), rather than against it.

This is a major decision on a major show, that has the ability to screw up a lot of peoples viewing pleasure. Please choose, wisely, and consider others who don't live in Korea with their 100 Meg data lines.

Thanks.

PS: not a great result for bleach fans if it's non DB and streamed only.

I know dattebayo wants to do it and they are excellent. I truly hope they are selected. I believe people who have a real passion for something should be the ones doing that thing!

I think the Dattebayo fanboy weaboos need to:
A) shut up and deal with the industry progressing
B) learn that they have been pampered by Dattebayo subbing to their every needs
C) realize that Bleach is a show for kids/teens - so really... who the fuck cares?
D) stop being weaboos and actually LEARN JAPANESE since they care so much about honorifics and being anal about translations
E) learn that bitching and moaning on the forum isn't going to change anything

They didn't keep Naruto and they aren't keeping Bleach. Get over yourselves.

I would like to see Dattebayo do the subbing of bleach(and if possible Naruto S).
They have a large following with Naruto they had over 500.000 views every week.

I personnaly love there style of subs and I think a lot of people do.
And if it wasn't for DB I would have nver found this site!
