I'm pretty sure I remember Sasuke taking down Orochimaru, but hey, that's just me. I may have misread and the episode must have been a fake. Deidara - Er.. I think he was an Akatsuki member that captured Gaara, and I'm pretty sure Sasuke defeated him, am I right?

He would sacrifice any lives neccesary to keep Konoha alive, and he did it for his own selfish reasons.
