Ok here are simple instructions to take a myspace pic, tell me are you guilty? I know I am!

1. Set up an account you wish to embarress yourself with online.
2. Find a quiet place to take your display picture, preferrably the bathroom as no one will see the toilet in the background
3. A friend is optional in the 'myspace pic' for those with low tolerance of shame
4. Overdress yourself, yes, in the bathroom... that's at your fam's house...
5. Pull a gay pose and take a picture.
6. Delete the picture atleast once believing you can make yourself look better by rearranging your hair/ grooming/ whatever!
7. Repeat process until satisfied with a picture of yourself that doesn't look embarassing at the time
8. Post it online and act as if your friend did it.
9. Viola! You should now be officially ashamed :P

This is a joke, please no one take it offensively, I just wanna know if people regret doing stuff like this when they were younger, my DP right now is a prime example I am using to support the forum as nothing more than a joke :)

Post if you have done this and why, and if not then tell me why?

I have a shorter version.

1. Hold the camera above you, so you get the bird view effect and minimize the area seen
2. Take picture
3. ???

Put the camera high up, put your head down so only your hair, nose and shoes can be seen.

Tada!~

:D
I'm fine with any myspace pic, as long as it's a REAL profile picture of you than some random picture of a kitten or whatever.

I like this.
It's funny and sadly true.

When I was younger(not quite sure I can say that only being 18....)
I've been through it. Looked retarded posing in a bathroom btw....haha

As for now, I take pictures on Facebook (gave up on myspace) and I'm not nearly the same. They're just casual photos I take when I go out with friends and whatnot.

But nonetheless, seeing this thread. It definitely brings back funny things.

Not me! When I was into Myspace, I did the much classier, hold-your-big-ass-old-camera-in-front-of-a-mirror-and-try-to-look-uninterested thing. I was so hip, guys. So hip.

Lol , I still do this all the time (x
Except I don't let other people in MY pictures , and I also don't understand the "and act as if your friend did it part" ? Like them posting the picture ? I'd so -- then all my pictures are clearly taken by me .

Why people on myspace take pictures of themselves above their heads and bird's eye view?
To look slender or slim?

haha, fair enough but I think you're missing the point, I'm just parodying our egotistical online facades You're method is definitely much better though and noted, you wouldn't get caught at all by it Thanks for the post.

haha, its always good to know who's on the other end isn't it? I wouldn't wanna catch myself talking to a psycho after all, or an animal, as you say, for that matter.

Definitely, you seem like a very young adult though so that's natural, we oldies are just having a good yarn reflecting is all ... Yeah that's what I meant often some people pretend like the pic was posted by a friend of theirs and they pretend to be bad with photos when really they love to show off You know who these people are and theres a difference between wanting to put a photo of yourself up online and denying that you did it, I'm not teasing anyone who posts pictures of themselves online.

Ahhh that's right thanks for the reminder, I was sadly never good with photoshop, that is my own incompetence however haha, "I have much to learn before I master the art of myspace imaging" :P

Double posting is against rules..
