which is the most TRAGEDY manga you have read yet.?

Gakuen Alice and Arisa

The former is still ongoing and in its final arc but things are looking pretty depressing right now. Hard to believe it started off as kids' school life comedy. Then the comedy just went away ater the Hana-hime arc.

Arisa just ended this summer but the final chapters haven't been posted yet. But chapter 43 was just posted today and it made me think "Just when you think the situation couldn't get any worse, it did." Before that though, you had to listen to many troubled backstories. No wonder we see all those breakdowns and suicide attempts.

Man, the guy in this manga...he was from a well-off family, but because he didn't really see the people around him as human, he kept going down this hopeless spiral. It's only three volumes, but I swear, I actuallly felt emotionally drained after reading them!
