I don't understand how that has got to do with stage parenting and whether it had gone wrong. Unfortunately (or fortunately?), different people have different standards for at what age is it appropriate for a girl to dress up like that, so it's a very grey area to set limits on something like this. I'm thinking that this act is an opportunity to actually relieve the stresses that the media has bombarded us with. By doing somethng like that, they will realize that there really is nothing special about it. They were there to give a show and they delivered. It might even make them understand that the way people dress has significant impact to others around them and they'll actually be smart about the messages clothing style can give, and they can build up on that foundation to always be mindful of themselves.

The intent behind the competition was wholesome, but permitting seven year-olds to parade around in such scantily clad attire isn't.

I think that, although the girls posses a great deal of presence and Talent, the way they are dress is a little too mature. But you guys have to understand that in a competition one has to stand out (speaking as one who did this sort of competitive dancing some time ago). You've got to impress the audience and the judges. Sometimes what distinguishes you from a group, that is just as good as you are, is song choice and costumes.

However, I do agree with most of you in that they are too young to be dancing like grow up hoochies. But I applaud their enthusiasm. Besides these girls are probably less likely to get pregnant young, suffer from obesity, or low self esteem. If I were the parents I'd be proud, concern and wary, but proud.

How much pedophiles did this attract? o__O??

If the girls liked it and feel no regret whats the problem?? their proud of their body and to show their skills I guess?? O_o . If I had kids it would be a big no at least for the outfit.
