Well i dont really know if you can consider it the samething , but "To Aru Majutsu no Index" kind of offers a main character with bad luck similiar to the one sai has...story revolves around magic and science too. Its not that much ecchi though

I agree. If you liked this show, To Aru Majutsu no Index is something you should watch.
