Which is what is stupid with online online petitions, I bet only half of the signatures are genuine.

People are entitled to their different opinions, but people should not go on making up their own different "facts".

The fact is that Naruto was already licensed when Crunchyroll got the streaming rights. There was no change in either DB's formal legal position or actual risk of legal action when CR got the simulcast. The idea that CR's simulcast changed DB's legal position and that's why they made the policy decision to drop Naruto ... its just myth from people who do not understand copyright law in general or the DMCA in particular.

So DB made a policy decision to drop Naruto ... they were not "forced" to drop it by anybody. They decided in their view it was better for the health of the anime industry to not fansub in competition with a licensed simulcast.

And whether they continue to fansub Bleach under the DB name, or whether instead they continue to fansub Bleach but under a name of a different group ... people are missing the forest for the trees.

One day, Naruto will be brought to a conclusion. One day Bleach will be brought to a conclusion. If the anime industry keeps going in the direction its going now, what are you going to watch then?

If we have a chance to help pull the industry in the direction of survival, everyone who enjoys watching anime should support that effort.

Exactly! DB even stated all of this when they decided to drop Naruto. They're not going to compete with someone who's putting it out legally it a waste of time, they decided let Naruto go and they'll work on something else. That something else is I'm imagining to be Element Hunters, whom no one else was subbing anywhere.

Oh, and DB mentioned in the site notice that they wouldn't hesitate to drop Bleach if a site like CR picked it up.

Side note:
The anime is catching up to the manga who has a group (no spoiler) already fighting Aisen. How much more of the show do they have left? The hollows are the major bad guys of the entire series, once they take out the leading caste what is left? I ask as I don't want to see it end yet either.

But they have automated tools to tell whether the email address is live.

Its may not be a precise guide, but its a good rough guide ... a handful of people really enthusiastic about it are not going to be able to generate 100,000 entries.

I only want Bleach on CR if dattebayo guys are being paid to translate it. They do a much better job IMO (as was the case with Naruto).

I read somewhere that the author said he will make another arc after this.Which is going to impossible to top.

I think that would be up to the translators from Dattebayo. I'm sure there have been points in time where they could have at least applied for a position to Crunchyroll, but they chose not to. I don't know how Crunchyroll's staff is currently as far as translators go, but I would assume if there is a spot open then they would be free to apply for it.

Don't sign it more than once. All that does is create invalid votes and could possibly start to get votes thrown out due to multiple people signing multiple times. If it is sent to Japan and the people they send it to start to see duplicates they could very well just ignore it and say it is the same couple hundred people signing it over and over again. After all it really isn't hard to create and email or just use a random one that isn't even yours while attaching a random name to it. It is a possibility that they are logging IP addresses when you sign it though to prevent duplicates. Don't try to exploit the system, more than likely you will get caught and it will not help at all.
