It depends. When ur a teenager everyone matures at a different age, so a year can mean a lot. My parents are like 8 years different, but it doesnt really matter since they're already adults. But a year or two in highschool doesnt mean much to me at least |

Fact: Very few lasting marriages are between people of the same age. A gap of up to five years between the two is actually rather common. It's all about perception really. Kids up to 17 and some people up to early 20's will usually see a couple of years odd because in most cases the majority of people they're going to be around are their own age. Top that off with the media and people and their misconceptions of pedophilia,which is so grossly mislabeled it's ridiculous. As I see it,plain and simple,as long as both parties are mature enough and understand the responsibilities involved,then age really isn't an issue. Tho even for me a 25 year old dating an 60 year old would be greatly pushing it.
