I Don't know if there's a poll like this and honestly i don't want to look through all the ones there are to find out. I'd like to find out want my fellow anime lovers think. Whether i paid for it or watched it for free on sites like crunchy. I want to expect the subs to be correct. Witch doesn't always happen. Not to mention look like crap most of the time. Also fansubs display text for signs and explain jokes that have a play on words. Decent fansub groups tend to explain the meaning to those not to mention other info on the culture. I'd also like the OP-ED songs subbed as well. I look forward to the feedback.

You know even if CR doesn't localize their subs and does it more like the fansubbers, it won't change much.... There STILL be more people downloading/streaming anime that are subbed by fansubbers.

You want to know why? Its because WaPaNeSe (and the other variation of it) is the only way to go, or it could be the fact that people generally like free crap.

Must have missed that choice. Oh well maybe they can move it over to it. its good to know there people like you who look out for stuff like this . what would people do?

of course I would, this would mean better subs and better quality for those subs. I do buy anime now as it is but I do no like the fact i am supporting some piss poor dub actor that couldn't get a job doing anything else. I would rather have my money go for the hard working artist that need the money in order to live. With that aside it's not going to happen, anime is a niche market as it is and doing a sub-only product would sadly decrease the sales that are already low.

I don't like the fansubs. I was watching a fansub of bleach on youtube. The video quality was crap and the subtitles are too fast. I have watched anime in japanese and I prefer the legal ones. I don't think it would matter like one guy posted above. If people can get it for free they will. You can bust everyone on that particular site and three more will open up. If you people don't watch it the japanese will stop sending anime over the internet. Then, what do you do? It means no fansubs,no more anime, and no more dvd's. Don't you think the japanese is sick and tired of all those illegal downloads. If you don't watch it they will cut us off then where will we be. I will tell you watching reruns of spongebob. I don't want that to happen. Have you ever wondered how the fansubs get their anime. I can tell you they probably download it from the net and sub it from there. Plus,a fansub can take as long as they want to sub a particular anime. While there are contracts that have to be signed to legally to ship it over. If all there was only fansubs I am certain it would look like the subs that you buy in the stores but a lot less of it. I would rather support my anime and buy it at the stores where I know I have a legal copy.
