Had my First "What the Heck!!" with the player today. But I think it was caused by the update to 0.3.1

I was playing Dragon Crisis Ep09 when the player caused a hard REBOOT of my phone. Then after the reboot when I tried to access the video again, it was demanding that I upgrade my account. I checked and I was logged in. Because my phone does the AutoUpdate for CR App, I didn't notice that the version had changed on the app from 0.3.0 to 0.3.1

Solution turned out to be a simple LogOUT then LogIN to resolve the restricted access, but the scenario was strange. You might want to consider having the upgrades doing a forced LogOUT so that the members will have to log in fresh with each update.

excuse my ignorance since I don't own a smartphone *yet* but why is there a need for an app on Android since I thought it can support flash already? Also, do android phones have h/w acceleration for flash?

@tripperdan99: Yea, there was a problem with the update that caused an issue that needed to be resolved by logging out and back in to the app. I think we usually do force a logout/login but accidentally didn't this time.

@npcomplete: Adobe Flash is supported but it has it's problems. A dedicated app generally provides better performance though the Android video player also has it's own problems. Also, our app supports Android 2.1, which does not have Adobe Flash so our app would be the only way those people can access the videos.

After a bit of fiddling with the Android app and my settings, I found out my login issues were because the app apparently prefers to use my mobile network instead of wi-fi. I have no problems logging in with my 3g. However the moment I use the app on wi-fi, it logs me back out and I can't log in again until I switch back to 3g. =/

QUESTION: What is the normal turn around for mobile video being ready? Asking because Gosick Ep10 still isn't converted after about a day (well over half a day) and at 11am EST it isn't showing up on App. Did a refresh, then tried logging in & out.

Not sure but Cardfighter Vanguard is already up and it was released after Gosick so it might just be a problem with that specific episode.

As Trip stated before, Gosick EP 10 is still not on the android.

Also: all of the mitsudomoe episodes are gone. And episode 34 of hanasakeru seishonen is gone. I haven't looked through all of my favorite animes yet because I have been busy but I am really not happy that mitsudomoe is gone (it still lists mitsudomoe as an anime but loads no episodes) and I was specifically looking for ep 34 of hanasakeru seishonen and that's the on ep missing so that was frustrating lol.

Can we get this fixed?

Ps I haven't checked since I watched it but the last ep of lil pri had gigantic subtitles that covered the whole screed

Encoding Gosick ep 10 now, should be ready in a few hours. Going to fix Lilpri's subtitles but no ETA on that.

As for non-new videos that are missing, we're aware they are missing and will have them added in. It's just that we still have thousands of videos to encode which is taking longer to process than we initially hoped.

Ever since the update, I can't access any video when the wi-fi connection on my phone is on. I can't log-in while in wi-fi, giving me the "Invalid E-Mail/Password" error, and I also cannot play any of the videos, saying I need a subscription to access them (including the free ones). Only by turning off my wi-fi and using 3g am I able to log-in and access the vids. Is there going to be a fix for this? Since the data usage for AT&T is pretty limited, and not as fast as wi-fi...

I have some serious problems with this app. I am currnetly runnig version 0.3.1. on my Sony Ericssson Xperia X8 with Android 2.1. However, with every episode i watch the picture i scrambled beyond belief. Its completely unwatchable. However i tried Naruto Shippuden episode 1 and Bleach episode 1 and they both worked fine. Its probably got something to do with the newer videos being in 720p. Any suggestions as to what might be wrong.

I just picked up the Sirius A IS06 Android phone from AU and got the Crunchyroll App. I logged in with my account, but all I get are Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn and Learning Japanese. I was wondering when the time frame for Bleach and Naruto Shippunden to hit the app will be.

I notice that the Mobile app now sends FB (and I assume twitter) notifications of videos watched. Thanks to the team for continuing to update and improve the app.

I was wondering, any idea on the time frame for addressing the PAUSED VIDEO issue? Just curious.

Have really been enjoying having the Droid App!

I know the market right now is still small but is there a plan to make the CR app work on android tablets? I have the xoom and it just fc I was hoping it was compatible with honeycomb. It can view full videos since it has flash but I can't scrub the videos and it doesn't scale properly on screen if I press the full screen button. I can help with beta testing of you need some testers.

I'm also having issues with this app. I'm in a no 3G area and I rely heavily on wifi. Please un-update this app and get it working for us premium subscribers!
