Not sure if anyone else is having this issue, but I've had this happen numerous times, and always happens the same way every time.

When I play videos and have to pause for an extended period of time, say more than 5-10 minutes, when I come back and unlock the phone, I can hear the sound as if the video is playing. yet the video is frozen. I can shut down the app using app killer yet the sound continues to play. I tried relaunching the app to see if it would override it, but it doesn't. If I play another video at that point I can then hear the previous video overlapping the one I just started.

Using HTC G2.

Okie dokie, that sort of clears things up a little. I'm surprised by how much I enjoy Astarotte's Toy (based off of the premise), so I've been trying to access it on my DroidX after the release.

Thanks for taking care of it and I hope the future episodes will be much less troublesome for you.

Speaking of this (I know i have been complaining a lot about it, sorry)

Do we have a timeline on this? I really dislike having to use the site because the streaming is much better on my phone and I don't have to wait for it to buffer like I do whenever i use the computer.

Still looking into the issue and have no ETA.

This is a known issue except I haven't heard of the video continue playing after exiting the app or while playing another video. But the root cause is most likely the same so we would have to fix that.

It's not that the video is still playing. The video actually locks up and the program force closes, or I shut the program down using Advanced Task killer. However, even after it force closes or I shut the program down, the sound continues playing. I usually have to shut the phone off to get the sound to stop.

Okay, where to begin.....

Sorry to mention this again but there are still episodes missing that need to be encoded for the android app, ones that should have been ready when the app was launched. Mitsudomoe seasons(FULL) 1 and 2 are both not there, La Corda D' Oro primo passo(FULL) isn't there, EP 34 from Hanasakeru Seishonen, EP 29 from Yumiero Patissiere, Episodes 11, 12, and 13 from Miracle Train, EP 3 from Best Student Council, and I am sure there are plenty more from animes I haven't been trying to watch.

Also: I wouldn't mind trying to watch 07 Ghost, but that isn't even an option on the android app, lol. Please get those for me <3 It looks like it would be a good anime.

I have been trying to watch Yumiero Patissiere. I love it, it is one of my favorite animes of all time. Problem is, I cant seem to watch some of the episodes because although I am a paying premium member it is telling me I need an all access or anime membership to watch the episodes. Considering that these episodes should be available for free members anyway I believe this is a problem. Please note that this is only affecting Yumiero Patissiere episodes, not the Yumiero Patissiere Professional episodes.

I have tried logging out and logging in, that didn't work. I tried force stopping, clearing the data, uninstalling and reinstalling and relogging in, and that also failed.

I am using a Motorola Droid from Verizon, Android version 2.2.2. And since I just reinstalled it in attempts to fix the problem my app reads as version 0.3.3

Thanks~

@AoiKaze: What version of Android do you have on your Samsung Captivate? Could be the same issue that people are having with the Xoom.

@harvestmoonperso: We no longer have the right to offer the first season of Yumeiro Patissiere here as of April 1st. As such, those were no longer supposed to show up so I fixed it.

I also fixed 07 Ghost so that should show up shortly.

As for the missing episodes, we are going to be focusing on adding those this month. We should finish up by the end of this month.

Mmmk, so I understand about Yumiero Patissiere. I wont stress about that one, even though i will miss it, lol.

These posts are back from April 6th, though on March 16th I had posted regarding Mitsudomoe(both full seasons) and Hanasakeru Seishonen ep 34. None of the episodes I listed are on the app yet. Why is it taking so long to get older episodes from finished seasons on the app? They should have been ready before the app's launch, especially if they had been encoded and available before the release of this update for the android app.

It seems the andorid app is connected to the channel for my visio television. CrunchyRoll is available as an internet channel on my internet capable television. I cant log in as a premium member but I am able to watch CR animes that are available to free users on my television. The thing is, all of the ones that are missing from my android app (with the exception of Mitsudomoe for some odd reason) appear on my tv, but none of them have subtitles. So even though I can see them in their full 32 inch HD glory, I cant understand what they're saying because I don't speak Japanese.

The reason I assume that the app is connected to my TV is because when I had complained about the double-subtitles that I was having with Best Student Council (it was happening on both my tv and my phone) on this forum, it got fixed, and the ones on my TV went away as well.

The ETA you gave me the last time I brought this up was the end of April, its now the middle of May and none of them have been fixed. Can you give me a real ETA and not a customer service one intended to keep me satisfied until it passes and I have to complain again?

Some source videos were not able to be located so we most likely have to get new source videos before we can make them available through our various apps. We have a list of a few hundred videos that are missing and are working to get them up and running. Since there are many unknown factors, I can't give a true ETA and can only give educated guesses.

Actually I have the same problem but with using ChompSMS on my phone. A text message box will come up while I'm watching the video and the video will pause so I can reply, once I send the message the sound will come back but the video will be frozen, similar to when you leave it for too long.

I am having a problem getting my account to recognize my phone as a device in the devices section. I am signed in on my phone and watch shows on my phone all the time but it still does not recognize it on the site. Is there some kind of authentication that I need to do?

I've had the same problem a few times, also with an HTC G2. If it helps the debugging process, the first time I ran into that problem was with the official Youtube app. Even after a force close, it'll continue playing the audio of the clip until the clip is finished, as if there's some sort of streaming backend that's still running.

I have complained about this on a couple occasions already, they lost the source video on a number of episodes including the first season of La Corda D' Oro, they have no idea when it will be fixed -.-

ON ANOTHER NOTE:

Glass Mask EP 12 has the subtitles for EP 12 but the audio and video for EP 48. Can you please get this one straightened up?

Working to have Glass Mask fixed. Should be fixed within a few days. Slowly working to get everything that's missing up and running like La Corda D'oro but these aren't straight forward fixes.

That's a known issue that we'll have to sort out. We have a Japanese android app for that show so we have the Japanese only version ready to view before the subtitled version. Once the subtitled version is encoded, it will play with subtitles through our English app and without subtitles through our Japanese app.
