Hey... so I recently just got an adroid phone. It's the new HTC Inspire from AT&T... I downloaded the app and the videos seem to be working fine, my problem is that I have a premium memebership and I want to log on so I can watch the newest episodes and Fairy Tail. However, there's no where to sign it, it just shows the crunchyroll logo on top, and then two tabs for anime or drama. Am I doing something wrong? I use to have an iPhone so I know where it can be on the bottom, but it's not showing up at all! Please help, I want to use the app.

You have to use the information button on the bottom of your phone while in cruncyroll

I'm still wondering if your going to fix the problem with not being able to play video on the app I have used it and it worked fine in the beginning now most of the videos I wanna watch apperantly cannot be played and it has gotten worse it will cut out of videos that are running and then when I try to play it again it just says it cannot be played this gets very frustrating trying to keep up with all my anime considering I don't use the computer much and it is very convenient for me to have the app but now it's just one big frustration especially seeing as I asked a question about it a few days ago and got no responce in the situation. A simple responce of we are looking into the matter would have sufficed but you couldn't even do that. Now I ask again are you working on a fix for this problem or is there something I can do that will help me in watching my shows on my phone.

It's been over a month since I reported the wi-fi issue on the android app. Although I can play anime fine on 3G, I would definitely love it so I can actually log-in and play it on my faster wi-fi connection. Is this issue actually being worked on, or is it in the backburner?

Before you get bent out of shape you should list which videos are having the problem. Giving them the "the videos I want to watch" as a basis for what needs to be fixed won't get you anywhere. Provide the anime titles and episodes you are having issues with. If its a known problem the people that frequent this board can provide info, if it is not a known issue then the admins can know what to address. Plus being rude will definitely make them not want to be prompt with responses. And keep in mind that you won't likely be getting a response until at least Tuesday, its a holiday weekend.

And just a personal note: if you want to be treated with respect then you need to show respect first. Getting pissed off when you don't even provide the most basic information is just rude. You need to consider that they have a lot of work to do and if you are too vague then they are not going to spend countless hours trying to figure out what videos you are having problems with especially if it seems like it is a connection issue like yous sounds like. Give them the information they need then patiently wait like the rest of us. Some things like their missing source video issues are long fixes and some things can be fixed right away. You need to give them time.

I sent an email about it letting them know then I posted in the forum seeing as my question did not get answered the first time and got ignored by the person that was answering so I just posted again and at least I got a responce but it seemed a rude one I don't see where my post was rude but ok I do see you are trying to help so I don't think you are trying to be rude about what you are saying but it does seem rude as for the animes it is pretty much all because if one doesn't work I try a different one and so on until I find one but all I was asking is if it was my phone or the app so I assume you are a mod of some sort telling me it's my phone O.o you seem rude but I'm not going to assume you are being rude like you think I was

First off: I am not a moderator. I am a member that just happens to have a problem with how you are going about your complaints. You can think of me as rude if you want but I am just being brutally honest with how I think your reaction is unwarranted.

You are too vague in your responses. You still have not listed the ones you are having problems with. "Pretty much all" doesn't say much, for all they know you only tried 5-6 animes and they all happen to be bugged ones. Like I said before, in order for them to figure out whats wrong you NEED to list anime titles and episodes for them to be able to fix things.

There haven't been many posts since the last time the admin posted (as of right now that is 11 days ago) but they are still working on things people are having complaints about. You can see in my post from 5 days ago that they fixed a problem I saw without posting. Just because they aren't posting doesn't mean they aren't working on problems. They can only fix problems that are pointed out to them CLEARLY though because they aren't going to waste their time they could be spending working on stuff they know is broken with trying to play a guessing game when it comes to which animes aren't working for you. With the description you gave of "it will cut out of videos that are running and then when I try to play it again it just says it cannot be played" it sounds like it could be a connection issue, just force close the app(you can do this by either using a task killer or by going into "Manage Applications" in your settings menu and force closing from there), check your connection, and try again.

If you insist that its not a connection issue then the next time you post list the animes and particular episodes you have having problems with so they know what to look into. You cant expect them to look into things that they don't know where the problem is. Given the kinds of issues you are having it also helps to specify what phone you are using and the OS it has. Just saying "Droid" can be a number of phones. I have a Motorola Droid from Verizon, the first one that has the slide up screen and the physical keyboard, the OS is Android version 2.2.2. You can find the OS info if you go to settings and scroll to the "About Phone" section.

You need to be more clear on the issues you are having or they can't fix it. Please get that through your head and stop being so vague with your complaints or its not going to get you anywhere.

Don't get your panties in a twist man thanks to you I figured it out don't go lashing out at someone when there is no reason and thank you apperantly, I had to reset my phone and delete everything. Because one of my apps was causing problems, at least thats what my service provider said so...... I don't know what your problem with me is and I don't care to know, thanks for answering my question, and giving me a way to get it fixed.
I also never said it wasn't a connection issue I said it was an issue that was frustrating me I did not want to pay a monthly fee for something I could not use wherever I was because that is money out of my pocket. How would you feel, if you were paying monthly on something you don't use but want to? I bet it would frustrate you as well if you can't get answers from your question. And if you want to comment about my "droid phone" my first post clearly says what type of phone I have. Research you complaints before you go after someone.
Anyways thanks again for the help and pay attention to the post before going after someone. What I meant by pretty much all was every single anime whether I watched it or not was doing the same thing. Now don't ever say anything unless it is useful that just proves that you want to be difficult and act like you know everything. I know your intentions are good but you are going about it the wrong way. A simple quick answer would suffice not something stating that I am rude and need to earn respect and all that stuff because I don't need your respect if all you want to give me is a kick in the "ping pongs" I am sorry for wasting your time on this forum and will not bother you again oh high and mighty one... Oh and by the way Thank You again for helping me figure it out :D

Edit: also read the question it was is there something I can do on my phone or is it the app itself and the support admin did skip over my question answering everyone elses so I reposted the same question. Something I can do on my end or is it something that is getting fixed. The whole part about putting is there something I can do on my end would be so they can tell me the stuff you told me about my 3G/wifi connection all they had to say is see if your connection was good if that doesn't work try your service provider and see if it is your phone. Which it was that is all they had to tell me from my first post but they skipped it completely and got the person before and after me.

The "Sorry, this video cannot be played" error is a generic error that the Android video player spits out whenever anything goes wrong. The most common cause would be when the stream's connection is interrupted. Until Android provides a better video player, this is something we all unfortunately have to live with. Eventually the video will play if you keep trying again.

I love CR. Works great over my iPhone and PC at home, but I recently bought an Acer A500 Tablet with a 10.1 inch screen and the quality is lacking. Could you please make an app for android tablets that's able to support a higher resolution?

I might be wrong on this, but the Android App for the most part is still a "Beta" Program, especially if you compare it to the Apple offerings. Previously they had not had any focused work on any of the Android Tablets with the CR App. They were also working on a version of the App that allows higher resolution (for paid service) but I don't thing that has been implemented either.

So I know they want to eventually be able to offer higher resolution with the Android App but it's still a "Work in Progress"

~trip

PS I haven't seen an update in awhile for the CR App so development may be running a little slow for it atm

So I'm running android 2.2.1 and very happy with the crunchy roll app for the most part however, it seems to have an issue buffering episodes. I haven't much tried with anything other than hayate no gotoku but, i doesn't seem to buffer the video like it did when i first started using the app. When I first started using the app I would pause it at the beginning of the episode and let it buffer about 5 minutes and would have no playback issues whatsoever. Now i know the connection is fine my YouTube app buffers the video at a decent pace but, the crunchy-roll app may buffer like 5 seconds worth of video and then stop buffering, the video will catch up and then i have to wait like 5 minutes for it to buffer more video. I tend to watch one 30 minute episode during my hour lunch breaks at work and sometimes cant even get one episode completed in that amount of time due to this. Is there anything I can do to resolve this, is anyone else having the same or similar issues, is it maybe already being worked?
