I've found the current android app is too huge a list to wade through when I just want to watch something on my acer tablet. Looking forward to future revisions with watchlist integration. (right?)

And thanks so much for allowing non-desktop access to your website. I tried to visit other services which shall remain unnamed, and was disappointed to find they feel my wifi-only tablet is too "mobile" to watch their content on.

I have an HTC EVO 4G. I downloaded the app last night and it worked for an hour. The app will no longer refresh the data or play videos

Anyone have luck with Android app on Nook Color (Nookie Froyo 2.2) its a wi-fi only
Android 2.2 device and has no MEID. The app works perfectly on my phone
(Incredible) but force closes on the tablet. It was suggested that some apps
use MEID to identify phone type (for supported features) but non-phone
wi-fi only devices don't have one.

Thanks

Sorry to be a pain but none of the videos are playing on my android app, I have cleared the data and forced closed my app and it didn't work. I was able to watch videos on Monday but I haven't tried again until today and suddenly none of them work. When I check my android market it says I have it updated to the most recent one. I have tried using Wi-Fi and my 3G network, neither of them work even though they are connected to the internet. Any other suggestions?

Edit: I take that back I was able to watch Beelzebub yesterday to enter that contest and get the episode numbers and scene times

Possibly stupid question/comment, but is there a way to improve video quality on an Acer Iconia? The 10.1 inch screen is beautiful and i wish i could watch some anime in high quality or even HD on it; especially if im paying for the CR service.

Thanks in advance :-)

It would be cool if an android crunchy roll HD was in the works.

From the live blog of Crunchyroll's panel at AX on Saturday (edited for spelling errors and clarity):

Q: Any plans to suport higher streams on the android app?

A: From our perspective, it's convenience, so you can watch it on the go, and most devices are on the go are still handheld, but we will do higher streams. As more devices roll out, we'll increase it. For less than 4 inches, we'll lower the bitrate to make it easier to stream

Sorry I couldn't find any info on this but I was wondering if any of you know if hdmi out works with any of the android phones such as the Droid X2 and the Thunderbolt? I'm getting an Android phone soon and I would like to know if I can use the crunchyroll app to watch anime on my hdtv.

I've got a Galaxy S2 and connected to my HDTV (via MHL) and it mirror whatever happens on my phone (including the CR app which videos look like utter garbage on the phone and TV). But anywho, playback should on any device that support HDMI mirroring.

Hello,

I'm trying to watch Gintama on an HTC EVO 3D running Android ver 2.3.3 and Sense 3.0. Although I do not have exact episode numbers, around episode 100+ I've noticed marked video lag, enough that there is obvious discontinuity between mouth flaps and sound. This happens both when I watch a video all the way through, and when I start a video and jump forward. Usually, the beginning of the episode is fine, but the problem grows progressively as time passes. As a test, I watched episode 113 both at home on SD and 480, and on my EVO and the episodes watched from home are fine, while on the EVO the sound problem is very obvious. On episodes 202+ I do not come across this issue, at least I do not notice it.

Currently, according to speedtest, I have a dl of 722 kbps and a ul of 563 kbps with a ping of 124 ms, although depending on my location the dl varies from as little as 130kbps to as much as 1800 kbps, with the average falling on the higher end of the spectrum. My OS is stock Android 2.3.3 with Sense 3.0, but I have bypassed Sprint's proxy servers to circumvent throttling of streams. Is this issue common, or does it perhaps have something to do with my faster streaming/android OS?
