Having a lot of issues on Acer Iconia since the update. Although I haven't had money, recently, to continue my subscription, I understand that I can only watch shows a week or more after. This was never a problem before the update, however, I'm on a Gintama binge and videos from third season do not load anymore. Can tell that the whole UI needs some tweaking.

The issue isn't disabling orientation detection, it's that the Crunchyroll app isn't using landscape orientation for its menus on tablets right now.

Can you explain the problem better? Your short description leaves much to the imagination.

Ok i have set spanish as default language in the video preferences option for the setting menu in the web page, but in the android device (HTC Flyer Tablet) i get the english subtitles for all those anime you have the permissions for LA. the problem imo is that in the web page i can see the chapter title in spanish but isn't the same in the device, and i repeat, this is the same for all those anime u have the LA permissions. I tried changing my tab language to spanish but it wont work, log out then restart the tab then log in but it still wont work either

Not sure if this has been mentioned, but with the update to the new design the release information such as the release date is no longer posted with each episode. I used that info to help me keep track of what I have and haven't watched.

If your browser supports the display of the RSS info, you can still find the release date info there. For example, if I click on the RSS button for Campione I get a list like this (cropped for display here):

AFAIK, Spanish subtitles are only supported through the website. Because of technical difficulties with soft subtitles and Android and iOS, CR decided to go the hard subbed route for their mobile apps. However, due to the subtitles being hard encoded into the video itself there is no way to change the subtitles.

Maybe if enough demand for it picks up, CR will find another way to provide Spanish subtitles to their mobile apps.

I went back and realized I wasn't being very clear. I was referring to the Crunchyroll app for android. The android app used to have the release date attached to each episodes info page or somewhere that was easy to see it, can't remember where exactly.. The new redesigned app does not. Sorry for not being clear on that, was in a rush when I typed it.

There is nothing wrong to be fixed. Fairy Tail is the only ongoing (simulcast) series that requires you to be a premium member to view episodes.

FYI, another unique thing about it is that unlike other series, Crunchyroll's license only allows them to keep the episodes for 30 days. (Although the video page shows more than that, even a premium member can only watch the latest four).

The new version of the Android app is showing up as incompatible with Google TV. Any ETA on when it will be compatible?

I have some problems with my tablet, when I try to watch any video in a place out of buffer, suddenly the application hangs up and I must close in force mode, but in my cell phone works very well, the video stops, load new buffer and play normally.

So, I tried with the option "Resume Videos" disabled, but the videos still resuming from where I left off. This option also doesn't work in my cell phone.

Well, as others said, I also from Latin America in the last version I can't watch subtitles in spanish (no problem for me, I prefer in english), but I think could be a bug.

Why does the crunchyroll android application need Phone calls permission? Are you trying to spy on us?

"Allows the app to access the phone features of the device. An app with this permission can determine the phone number and serial number of this phone, whether a call is active, the number that call is connected to and the like".

So that the app can pause the video when you receive a phone call.

Many video apps will have that same permission. Netflix, Hulu, ect...
