Is there anyway to rotate the home menu out of landscape on the new app? The old app rotated the new one doesn't. Running on motor XOOM ICS.

That's one of the things they are working as a back-burner issue...it's also a bit of a contentious issue with some of us because of that..I'm a couple weeks behind on my shows waiting for this to work again.

The new interface looks nice and clean. The old and new cr app works flawlessly on my Acer A500 custom ICS tablet.

Though I have a problem with phone, Galaxy W running stock Gingerbread. The old and new app would crash my whole phone halfway through watching a series. It would freeze the frame I was watching whilw playing the samsung startup tune. And suddenly the home screen will show up with things on my screen loading up like it was newly restarted.

Weird. That's the only app in my phone that does that. Prolonged watching youtube and mx player doesn't give that kind of problem to my phone.

Ok thanks for the information.
Interesting that its is a back-burner issue.
I rate that as really high issue to me as I use a tablet and not being able to rotate a menu would almost make me stop using the app.

Using stock Nexus S - Android 4.1.1
So far so good.

Using Stock Asus TF300 w/dock - Android 4.0.3
So far, not so good. The Crunchyroll app seems to have conflicts with orientation and auto rotation if the dock is connected. With the dock connected, browsing menus (seasons, alphabetical, etc) take forever and never populate with results: there is a constant spinning “loading” hourglass. Streaming videos also have this problem. When launching a video, you have to manually press play to begin the stream. Also, when viewing a video, there is a persistent hourglass in the center of the screen that lasts for the duration of the video.

Without the dock, the Crunchyroll app works really well on the TF300.

Also, is it possible that the next update to the Crunchyroll app remove forced portrait views on menus? I don’t know about other users, but I feel that it’s a nuisance when I have to rotate my devices just to click on the next video.

I have a Samsung galaxy tab 2 10.1 with the latest version of the crunchyroll app. The same thing is happening for me with the menus only being in vertical mode and the app not being able to stream any content.

Same here...I am using Asus TF300 w/ICS 4.0.3. It only loads vertically then the app just hangs. Had no problems before the update. It really is a pain as I really don't want to lug my laptop around. Stupid reason to complain I know, but the tablet has become so damn convenient!

I'm using a Samsung galaxy s3 with ICS 4.0.4 and I'm having big issues. I can't log in, it just says "There were an unknown error, sorry". Also I can't even open the Anime tab(or any tabs except the login and settings tabs), says it were a problem trying to load the series. Not so funny when it was working good before the update and worked good on another phone before I changed to my S3

I'm a google TV user, and I would like to see something implemented that let me "subscribe" to my favorite shows, then based on my history it will know if I have any new episodes to watch. It's hard to try to find all the shows, then try to remember which episodes I've seen (what are new). I guess if a release date was published next to the episode, it would help a bit, but I'd prefer to just log in and have a "here's what's new" page that let me watch everything new in my subscribed shows.

Please add this feature, it will make the experience dramatically better.

I seem to have found a way around the "forever loading screen". When ever you come to the screen just sleep your device then wake it. Proceed to the next screen, if another loading screen comes do the same thing until you can get to your video. The only bad thing about this is that the ads are still there and there is no way around them. (^^)

I figured maybe it was just me but in the later episodes of Gundam 00, I noticed the audio falls behind the video. Anyone else having this problem??

I have the issue on my Sony Google TV and Kindle Fire.

Can you be more specific on what episodes? I was going to check for you, but I don't have the time to check 50 episodes to try and find which ones are out of sync.

Have you also tried the same episodes through the web site, or another non-android device? You can also report the episodes that are out of sync by using the Contact Us form. http://www.crunchyroll.com/help?topic=contact

The app seems to work fine whenever I've used it, so I don't have any real trouble with it. But it looks like the app is getting bigger and bigger. On my phone, it's over 10MB and one of the largest apps in phone memory that I have. And I can't move it to my memory card to save space either. Could you look into offering App2SD support for the Android app so we can save the limited phone memory we have available? Thanks!
