Kekkaishi on Adult Swim.

Its about time Adult swim played a good animeeshun. I loved the Kekkaishi series, and now at least there is one good anime to watch on TV on the weekends.

What did you guys think of that anime? (Yes I believe this anime is a lot better than Bleach)

To be honest, it's not vey original, and the characters seem...typical, but since the first episode just aired I cannot judge it so early. Hopefully I will have a different opinion as the series continues.

I didnt like Kekkashi that much. I dropped it after 2 or 3 eps. I didn't like the idea of the younger guy liking a older girl

So not like me, being I have always dated older ladies. first 2 or 3 episodes was slower than the rest of the series.

This is great news. The earlier episodes were enjoyable. But it's when the Kokuboru villains arrive that the plot begins to progress. I'm looking forward to seeing every episode now. For anyone confused, I'm referring to the sub.

A question. Is the Kekkaishi dub decent?

It is a good anime, but it could have been longer in my opinion, as the manga is still publishing a second season would be nice

I skipped through the 3 first episodes, and you only get a feel of the characters, the background story, but thats it, it gets better

and no dub will ever be decent

Don't you think that's being a little biased? The voice acting for dubs isn't always horrible. There are even some where I believe are far better than the sub. The English voice actors for this particuler series did a fairly decent job in the first episode of the dub.

people keep saying dubs are horrible...everything about the dragon ball series (dub version) was 100% better than original

bleach dub is good
gurren lagann dub is good
etc

ME BIAS!.. Probably, at times... also a selective racialist, amongst other things...

By anime I mean not cartoons aka America(or other non Japanese continent) animated work, only thinking of Japanese animations aka J-Anime or what the rest of the world most likely call anime.

I have yet to hear a English dub on anime that can be compared(maybe pushing it far, with other words "as good") to hear Japanese with sub
Do name those anime that have better English voice actors then the original Japanese voice actors.
I just get the feeling of scratching my ears off when the characters and actors does not go along as it more then normally when it is dubbed.
I don't watch anime with English voice actors

There is lost in translations, but with dubs they are limited to what time the characters speak, also lip sync in dubs are close to none

It can be bearable and perhaps good at times, but not decent...
Things can be good even if they are not decent, just look at clothing...

PS! Did you not notice the smiley on the end?

Than this would explain your early comment. If you rarely watch English Dubs, dose it not seem biased to lump them all into one category, and what about the smiley face? Even if you were joking or being sarcastic, most people are likely to misunderstand your comment. Being more specific might help in the future.

Since you’ve asked, I’ve typed a list of English Dubs that I’ve found more enjoyable to watch compared to the sub:

Desert Punk
Evangelion
Witchblade
Cowboy Bebop
Samurai Champloo
Full Metal Alchemist
Stand Alone Complex
Black Lagoon
Great Teacher Onizuka
Negima!
Oban Star-Racers
Bleach (yes, I said Bleach).
Dragon Ball
Red Garden (more-or-less, though the screaming and teenage bickering are annoying in both versions).
Code Geass
Death Note
Eureka Seven
Serial Experiments Lain

But those are just from my experience.
