According from some random person on the internet:
http://www.gsmarena.com/newscomm-1636p3.php

LoL can you even play .xvid, .divx, .avi, .mpeg, .mpg, .wmv, .asf, .flv files on "the great iPhone" ?

Would you perhaps count how many apps you need to play those all on iPhone?

P.S. you don't need any extra apps on maemo :))

Oh and it also nativley supports playback of free full movies and tv shows from:
megavideo, stagevu, vidreel, tvgorge, smotri, wisevid, divxden, zshare, novamov, 56.com, 5min, 6.cn, 9you, Bebo, Blip.tv, Bofunk, BollywoodHungama, Break, BuzzHumor, Buzznet, Chilevision.cl, ClipFish.de, ClipLife.jp, ClipJunkie, Clipser, ClipShack, CollegeHumor, CrunchyRoll, Current, Dailymotion, dalealplay, Disclose.tv, DivXStage.net, DoubleAgent, eBaumsWorld, eHow, elRellano, elpolvorin, eSnips, ExpertVillage, Facebook, FairyShare, Flurl, FunForMobile, FunnyJunk, FunnyorDie, Glumbert, Google Video, Graspr, GreekTube.org, HowCast, HowStuffWorks, iShare.Rediff, Izlesene, Jokeroo, Kewego, ku6, Libero.it, LiveVideo, LiveLeak, MediaBum, Metacafe, MilkandCookies, Miloyski, Mojoflix, Mojvideo, MonkeySee, MusicMaza, Myspace, MyVideo.de, Newsy, NothingToxic, Novamov, own3D.tv, Pinkbike, Photobucket, PokerTube, PWNorDIE, RuTube.ru, RetroJunk, SantaBanta, Sevenload, Sina, Snotr, Spike, Stagevu, StreetFire.net, StupidVideos, SuperNovaTube, Tangle, TeacherTube, TheOnion, TinyPic, TipExhibit, TotallyCrap, TrailerAddict, Trilulilu.ro, tu.tv, Tudou, vbox7, VeeHD, Veoh, Videa.hu, VideoCopilot.net, VideoJug, Vidiac, Vidivodo, VideoWebTown, VidPK, ViiKii.net, Vimeo, Vioku, WeJew, WeGame, WorldStarHipHop, Yahoo Videos, Yikers, Yobler, Youku, YourFileHost, YouSportz, YummyBun, Zoopy, etc.

That person is talking about the Maemo 5 operating system that the Nokia N900 uses which currently supports Flash 9.4 but will most likely be able to support Flash 10.1 when it's released. He says that it supports video playback for all of those sites which includes Crunchyroll but doesn't say how well they play. I would imagine that video playback is choppy with Flash 9.4.

So I think you should either wait to see how Flash 10.1 pans out in order to see what phones are actually going to be supported, get an Android OS or get an iPhone OS based phone if you want dedicated video playback support for Crunchyroll since we currently have an iPhone app and have rudimentary plans for an Android app in the future. I also am not an iPhone fan so I would stick with the first 2 options and be patient. After Flash 10.1 is released, you're welcome to ask me how Crunchyroll performs on mobile devices, specifically Android since I have a phone with Android.

Last statement by the CEO of adobe was that flash 10.1 would be released (for android phones) in June, and the 10.1 for windows has been a Release Candidate for awhile now, so it should (baring something big being found) all be released in June or at the worst early July. The real question comes down to the time it takes for the Crunchyroll player to be updated to fully take advantage of 10.1 and more importantly be mobile optimized. Thats a huge undertaking, so I don't make predictions

Optimizing for the mobile version of Flash 10.1 is on the to-do list.

Thanks for verifying that the playback is choppy! If you can, please get back to us after Flash 10.1 is released on your phone so we can know whether playback is still choppy. Would help Ryuodjin tremendously and would be good for me to know.

Oh and a suggestion for you. When playing our videos on your n900, go to the following link and set your Default Video Quality to LQ or HQ. This should make the playback more smooth since it's a lower quality video and isn't h264 encoded which makes it take a LOT less processing power.

Well finny1987 did say that our LQ and HQ video qualities worked fine on his N900. So I would imagine that our SD quality videos should work on the device if Flash 10.1 is released on it.

This is really weird, the video was slow when i was at home using my broadband via wifi. But when i used 3g internet it played fine except that the subtitles disappear sometimes and have to reload to get it to reappear.
