You seem to be harbouring some pretty strong feelings against the church or your just a random mug scavenging for crpoints. i find it funny if people say they "love"jesus,the same people would never say that to another person,which they havent seen,talked to,...etc.
in my opinion jesus was nothing more than a reformer,who got misinterpreted over the times.it is impossible to say what kind of person he was.
and btw i find the differences between catholics and protestants pretty funny.
one group thinks they eat jesus(jesus as a cookie or something) at the mass,the others dont,right?

Catholics tend to have more rituals and follow the pope and priests. I am not Catholic so I wouldn't know all about it.

I am protestant, and we believe that you are saved by faith, and that u don't have to do anything like a ritual or baptism to be saved. And I think you are talking about the Lord's supper, we are not thinking that we are physically eating Jesus. It is more of a symbolic thing.

^ no, @ least I don't think so, I wouldn't know all of what Catholics believe because I am not one. Its more of a remembrance thing for protestants. The bread symbolizes his body that died for sins, and the wine symbolizes his blood that was shed for sins. And it is supposed to remind us of the big supper we will have in heaven.

I think there might be some confusion about the terms. The term christian, I believe, is a term used to mean someone who believes in God and Jesus Christ. In light of various denomination and groups, it just depends on people express their beliefs in God, but I believe all are christian by definition.

Therefore, when someone asks you if you're a christian, they're basically asking if you believe in God or Jesus Christ.

In other news, I think threads like this touch on very sensitive matters and I think it is very easy to make a comment which will offend others, even if it was not purposely intended to be. When I read the opening post, I didn't see a disclaimer asking posters to be careful and as I was reading through the posts, some of them were very inappropriate even if they were just joking around. In fact, I felt some of the posts were intended to ridicule the beliefs of a certain group.

I'd just like to say that a person's faith is something important regardless of their devotion, belief, etc.--posting a joke in a thread like this should be the last thing on a person's mind.

im agnostic. it isnt really a religion though. but my parents refuse to believe that. so technically, im catholic.

I have a question, what would u call agnosticism in terms of religion. Could u call it a faith? Because faith really isn't a religion, it is a beliefe of something or a non beliefe of something.

its not faith i dont believe. as mauz said, its a position on the existence of god.

correct me if im wrong, but the closest i can think of is skepticism. agnostics have a stronger belief in science and yes proof would probably win us over to the religion side. and it wouldnt really be faith as that word gives a connotation of belief and trust.
