well guys...i got this question which runs in my head...
well here's the Q..:
does most of the scientist don't believe on GOD??
(well if the answer is yes...well how can someone who believes and wants to become a scientist avoid to be one of these guys...???)
well it's kinda simple but anyone can explain this....

C. S. Lewis (yes, Narnia guy) writes an excellent account on scientists and faith. In fact, I highly recommend C. S. Lewis as a read to people who would like to take a philosophical look into Religion and it's relation to a world full of rationalization. One specific work I'd like to point out is "On Obstinacy in Belief" in his book "The World's Last Night and Other Essays".

^ I don't like the term protestant... it dates back to the original "protest" of Martin Luther with the ammendments he plastered on the door of the church.. :sweatingbullets:

The more polite term these days are "evangelical christians" or "charismatic groups".

protestant "term" is ok,it does not really matter whatever amendments done before.that's history..what matters is now..there is an evangelical and charismatic religion so i don't think it is polite to use that term...
protestant would be good...but what the heck..just say your religion...lol..

Yeah, you really shouldn't be ashamed of what you believe. If you don't stand for something, then you don't stand for anything.

catholics believe in Mary. and Christians believe in Jesus. I don't get why no one understands this. Their 2 VERY defiferent religions. Even the bibles are different.

If this thread is for Christians, then it will be specifically for Christians, since a Catholic is a different religion altogether, but many people don't register that.

I'm a Christian, who skips church occasionally, but knows Jesus is cool enough not to bear grudges, but also know that nothing is my work, and that everything is so because of Jesus. I love listening to gospel once in a while, and read the teachings. I won't try converting people who aren't interested.

I thought that

Catholics believed that the only one that can speak to "God" is Mary

Protestants believe on a personal relationship with "God"

thats what my World religions teacher described it as, but I really wouldn't put too much faith in her she showed up to class high almost every day...
