Lollipop, the taiwanese band, plagiarized most of the lyrics and the MV from the Japanese band, Hey! Say! Jump and NewS. The taiwanese song YES and the japanese song Ultra Music Power. So, wat do you guys think about this?

oo i saw that on youtube. i think the manager admitted that he plagerized the song. i don't think it is lollipop's fault. they have to follow what the manager says

Haaahh...they also copied NEWS Weeeek PV =_=

Whoa, this is totally a Johnny's copied.
Sounds like HSJ but lacks the cute girly voices (It just sounds weird when grown men sings stuff like that).
Their PV looks like a wannabe version of Weeeek yet, lacks the think I love most about it, the member ai.

But then again, I listen to Vietnamese songs that should totally be sued for plagiarism too. LOL

i've seen that several times too~
From the 1st second that Lollipop's song started, it was confirmed a copied song. And than with that pv, NEWS was way much better, and they even copied that. Its not a really proud thing...

i totally support Johnny's!!
It's really bad of lollipop to copy ne? and they have only just started singing. i think they won't have a chance to perform japan. cos Johnny will definitely do something about this.

wow....some how i could have guessed that taiwan groups are now copying Johnny's since most of their dramas are jap manga adopted. Can't they come up with something new and refreshing and stop relying on jap's entertainments...

"plagerized" is a strong word... The lyrics are different, they just copied the melody, and if the rights to the music was purchased legitimately, it's legal. After all, JE has used recycled compositions many many times~

However, there's no denying that the MV is suspiciously similar to the NEWS PV na .___. But in that case it would be the MV director's fault, not BBT directly na

Yeah, this was pretty psycho.
I'm not going to blame Lollipop.
It was more like the person who gave the song and the director of the PV's fault.
Which sucks for Lollipop because people tend to blame them. >__>
But whatever.

I says it's all mchammers fault -
a decade of us rap was 'sampled' music from earlier artist.
even today successful 'US hiphop' artist 'sample' other peoples work.

if you can get away with it, - and you add something to it- why not.

I like johnny cash's ring of fire, but I think the 'cover' of ring of fire by social distortion is BADASS! Wall of Voodo has this crazy version of ring of fire. I like the rolling stones cover of 'little red riding hood' but 999 did (what I consider) 'better' cover of the same song. It's music - enjoy it.

If it's that japanese and tawainese artist are putting out the same songs at the same time, check to see if the parent owns both 'labels' the group(s) are signed to. Like if both bands were signed to different record labels but the labels were both owned by it's nothing more than a marketing ploy by the record companies to appeal to a specific audience who may or may not like the song, but wouldn't buy it if it was done by a certain group. It cuts down on creating new music, but still means they get a wider market share (did you follow all of that-lol)
