In all honesty, I would love it if this would go on to the 360 or maybe the next gen. Xbox that might come out this year. I would more than likely drop Netflix to have this if I could stream it from my Xbox. Netflix is kinda lacking in the anime areas.

You can count another vote for an Xbox 360 app for CR!

I had just subscribed, and I too would love to have this for my XBox 360 or at least for Serviio.

They even have a Crackle app now... At least they have subs of newly released stuff. I'll take that over shitty American localisation dubs. It just blows I'm getting my anime fix from them and not Crunchyroll.

More device support is nice, but knowing M$, you will have to get Xbox Live Gold to even use the thing if it starts working on there. I'd rather see it drop onto PS3 or Wii if it hits a game console. M$ should be punished for charging for the most basic connectivity by having their device not be supported. seriously.

I've just joined Crunchyroll to have a look round and I like what I see, BUT.... I only ever watch video on my HDTV. So for me to subscribe I would need Crunchyroll on my Xbox, or my PS3.

Microsoft seem pretty open to third party apps now, they even have apps for obscure services like 'Crackle' (which I had never even heard of until it appeared on my Xbox dashboard). So Crunchyroll staffers, make it happen and you shall be showered in money.

Ok yes I would love to have an Xbox 360 or a PS3 little app to watch this on the big screen. I rather enjoy CR for the socialization aspect as well not just the anime but I know others are here solely for the anime.

The rest of CR vs Crackle I will put in spoilers since it isn't really relevant to this thread.

While you may not have heard of it before, Crackle is from Sony, and to say it is a far larger company than CR would be an understatement.

With regard to Crackle, I suspect they have considerably more content in the US than they do where I live (the UK). Here they have, 38 movies (virtually all of which are incredibly obscure straight to video things), and 61 TV shows, again, all obscure. The only anime they have is Rurouni Kenshin. (and it's dubbed!)

I guess that's why nobody here has heard of Crackle.

Joined crunchyroll's free trial. Did not renew when I found out there will be no support for Xbox 360. That was many months ago, and it seems like this is never going to happen. I don't have an iPhone/iPad/Tablet/whatever. Unless there's support on a game console, I see no point in paying for this.

I pay for Xbox Live and I pay for CR, and I'd love to see CR on my xbox. Unlike some others, I have no problem paying for xbox live, because after using PS3 and Wii's online services they just suck. Xbox just has a superior product when it comes to this, and they are always working on new xbox dashboard updates, the chat and party system is just remarkably good (staying connected to a chat on PS3 for over 15 minutes is a miracle), They add new features, fix bugs, and personally I own multiply Xbox's and I only pay 99 dollars for a yearly family plan, which gives me 4 Xbox Live accounts, even if you just pay for one it's only 60 bucks a year. I don't get where this outrage over paying for XBL comes from.

While I would love to see it on xbox, honestly I don't really care, there are other ways to watch CR on your tV. I have a Roku, a Google TV, and a PC hooked up to different tvs around my house all of them have CR support, and btw the Google TV and Roku you don't have to pay monthly subscriptions too, and both can be picked up for less than a 100 bucks, the bottom line Roku can be picked up for like 50 bucks.

so is this the final answer to getting crunchyroll on xbox 360/ps3 or even getting full screen old anime's to display properly on 4:3 tv's without the subs cutting off the bottom? the final answer is their budget is too small so it'll never happen. this thread started years ago and still nothing. what a joke. how about not wasting time on redesigning the site and work on something that matters? hulu had the same problem with subs cutting off the bottom of 4:3 tv's with the old fullscreen anime's and they received complaints and then did something crazy like fix the actual problem. you guys go and redesign the site when people want an app for their gaming system and want the subs not to cut off the bottom of the screen. really makes a lot of sense. happy easter!

The question is, what percentage of viewers both have a Roku and are using it on an old tube TV (and watch the older 4:3 anime)?

Indeed, perhaps once CR is available on a device that is in millions of homes, perhaps that percentage will rise high enough that it will be worth CR redoing all those videos.
