It is the same for VIZ and all other fan subbing groups I have seen of late. Maby I should make a subbing business and make real subs so you can compare what is really being said to what their fan subs spew.

If they don't do fillers, then the anime will catch up with the manga, then the anime will either have to end, or unlikely wait until the next volume of manga is out. How long does it take to make one volume of manga? Your statement kind of says that the anime fillers should not be done but instead wait until the manga is done then only make the anime. I'm not too good with these kinds of talks/debate~

There are online sites that say which series are canon and which series are filler. People who want to skip filler can do so.

Hey, I'd like to see that site at least once. btw, I don't know what canon really means, so I'll go google it after I post this. Filler is stuff made up by the anime studios right?

Oops, sorry, when an anime is made that follows a manga, canon is when it is animating the manga, filler is when it is in danger of passing they make episodes that are not in the manga.

Oh! trying to show off huh?
It's called LOCALIZATION.
HAHAHAHAHA grammar.
Please, as if you can ever do that.

U mad?

Kadushy, you have a point about the localizing and it is a valid argument IMO. Although, for someone like me who has also lived in Japan for a couple of years, it can be rather distractive and irritating at times when watching a show with hard subs that have been translated differently from what is actually being said. That's one of the reasons I prefer CR's soft subs... I can turn them off whenever I feel like it.

Thanks, that was fulfilling in an educational way. So, this means that most manga that are not yet completed have fillers in the anime most of the time, right?

"Only DB's subs are good"
"CR has crap subs"
"Very low quality subs on CR"
"Viz do horrible translations"

I hear this kind of crap a lot. Makes me wonder why the people who say this are even on CR. I love Crunchyroll's subs. Like everyone else, I was a little skeptical of how the subs for Bleach would turn out. But they were FINE.

From what I've been reading, assuming that the bragfest going on here is actually backed up by fact, half of you are totally fluent in Japanese, to the point where no CR sub is enjoyable to you, because you spend the entire episode picking out every small error in translation.

Having watched Bleach now both from CR and DB, I can confidently say that the differences in translation are so minor that I can barely tell the difference, and the most important thing, the story, is still totally intact.

Since the subs are more or less the same, and the story is more or less the same, I'm glad I don't have to go to DB for bleach anymore. I liked DB, but now I can watch Bleach Tuesday night instead of Wednesday morning, and I've just deleted all the DB Bleach episodes off my computer, so there's a good 40gigs free.

Not sure why I even bother with this post though. The people that it's directed at are the kind of people who get handed something awesome on a silver platter, and complain that the platter isn't gold.

Seeing as you've downloaded from Dattebayo before. Just curious have you ever tried searching on google or something like idk... Bleach Episode ... Raw? I know a lot of websites that have real healthy torrents for raw bleach episodes.

Heh, can't even watch Bleach here. I feel left out due to licensing limitations, but, whatever anime on CR, I won't watch it.

Yeah, so apparantly I'm another of those lucky ones who got screwed over by the limitations on the license, which means I'm basically forced to either: find a fansubber for bleach, find CR rips or wait for the dvds to show up in a store (which takes forever in my country, so how about no?).

Brilliant move there, Viz, you never fail to disappoint (just like you did with One Piece *shudder*).

See...its thinking like this is...why I feel I won't last at CR. Do you think the pennies you spend at CR will support Anime for the future? If you are paying for streaming it is just still barely above leeching. Like tossing a couple of coins into a water fountain.

In another topic, a person claimed the same was true of buying R1 discs; that the Japanese producer of the anime saw little profit from these, and used that as justification for going with fansubs instead, and stated really supporting the producer required importing discs from Japan.

Of course, that person didn't provide any numbers on what a Japanese company typically receives from sales of R1 media, which makes their claim rather suspect.

One major obvious differences between leeching or fansubs, and legal streaming. One pays the rights holder nothing, the other pays something.

Regardless of what the companies receive from CR, it is obvious they find it acceptable.

Legal streaming is simply the response of the industry to try and make additional income in the face of illegal online streams and torrents. Time will tell if it is an effective response, but I think it will be found to be so.

pardon my french, but people bitch to just to bitch, noting hardly ever satisfies people anymore. I am not a big fan bleach my-self but I just blasted through the episodes that where uploaded yesterday and I did not see nothing wrong with the subs. People in general will never be happy no matter what others do. on your computer, I just recommend getting a external 1 terabyte hard drive, that's over 1,000gigs bro. :3

Something DB didn't do was to block people based on regions. CR does that to the extend. Whether paying or not.
Furthermore DB didn't stream. Streaming sucks for a couple of reasons. One of the main problems is that it cuts of the film. That really sucks and happens regularly. There's no DL option.

Regarding the discussion of the subtitle quality: no DB didn't 1:1 translate. That's impossible. Have you ever tried translating some American idioms to Japanese? Try!

And where's the karaoke?

Have fun!

Already have a TB external, with about 400gigs of anime, so every time an anime I have gets on CR, I delete it.
