School Days was very good. It was a dark take on the Harem anime formula. Lets be honest not every guy is a good sweet Innocent guy who when surrounded by cute girls who are throwing themselves at them, resists because its not proper. 90% of men are horny pigs and would do just what he did. Not all girls are going to be ok with sharing a guy and not have conflict over it, and when you go on a tear through that many women, yeah you might knock one of them up, and I know of women who have lied about being pregnant (or in some cases who the father was) so none of what happened in this was unbelievable.

I think most people who start watching it think its going to be another cute Harem show and don't expect it to be a dark drama, which I will at least play devils advocate on that point, if your in the mood for vanilla and someone hands you dark chocolate, you might not react well.

But ignoring the haters, I have shown this to a few of my friends and they all enjoyed it, the one scene on the school roof was very disturbing, but wasn't over the top nor graphic, it mentally screws with you but that's about it.,

The guys in that School must totally suck because all the girls flock to that douchebag Makoto.

Anyways story was epic, nice twist at the end. Just goes to show that not all of the guys in the world treat their ladies well. I'd totally recommend it to my friends who can take the mind-f*ck of the story.

School Days is one of the freakishly rare harem anime that doesn't follow the stereotypical plot line that most authors used (boy meets girl, rival girls join in the fray, protagonist and destined girl realized their true feelings and confessed each other and then lived happily ever after). I applaud the author/creator who breaks free from the traditional harem anime.

I loved the series, because it wasn't a standard boring harem story. Everyone who thinks it's Makoto's own fault never did watch the anime good enough. Since it was Sekai's fault, she gave him sex-advice and stuff and let him use her own body. It's ok to have a crush but letting him touch you when he already had a relationship with Kotonoha she knew about. What kind of whore is that? She just freaked out Makoto realized he was wrong and confuzed and did go back with Kotonoha. Glad she died, she deserved it if she never changed her seats at the beginning of the year none of this would have happened.

Honestly speaking, I think the anime is very good despite the fact that it went off track with the ever popular "happy ending". Character developments and interactions are well displaced, good drawing. Story tackled the most sensitive area in HS, which is couple relationships rarely happened between two -committed- parties. I felt bad for the guy who can't resist the temptations (yeah.... I know it hard o.o;), and the girls who are too extreme in love..... Oh! and it teaches us a lesson........ a lesson for you, "players" xD

P.S: please don't open this picture when you DID NOT finish the anime yet!!! =]

I thought it was quite realistic. Shocking twist at the end, and one of the best Harems I've ever seen.
Loved it.

Well said, I watch Harem anime for comedy purposes, but never understand why the hell all these girls can get along so well after fighting over one single guy either. The basic of love is selfish, and love war can turn out very bad. Btw....I think "90% guy" is a little modest number, thinking 95% + is a better fit for the "horny pigs" part..... (maybe included me....); however, not 9 out of 10 guys are two timer either. Once you truly loved someone, cheating on her are not very common ...at least for a short period of time . Oh and there was quiet a few scenes on the school roof, I'm not sure if we both thinking about the same thing but oh well xD
