My favorite band would have to be Drop dead gorgeous.
Umm and asian bands an cafe, the Gazette and alice nine. techno group perfume [japanese] and i like kelly clarkson just becasue she is a great singer and im not to big on rap but i do love the gym class heroes Yui and utada hikaru are great to!! maybe dbsk to. haha so many oh about drop dead gorgeous im not real big on screamo now a days because its all about that scene kid trend. I'm more into techno criticize if you must but i still do listen to other stuff which is like old school punk , punk, or ska like... the sex pistols, underground hereos, the ramones[and i hate when people have a ramone shirt and wear it and thte only song they know from them is the Blitzkrieg Bop or they just wear it to wear it] the clash, sham 69, the addicts, circle jerks, rancid and such hahaha you guys might think these bands are gay or retarted because i haven't met a lot of people with my taste in music. |

WTF is wrong with people? why do they call everything metal? |

Leonard Cohen, to me simply the finest songwriter I have ever had the pleasure to hear.
The Pogues, fantastic band. Guns 'n Roses, OK a little naff, but first music I ever really enjoyed, first album I ever bought, the reason I picked up a guitar, and there really are some great songs in their repetoire. Pink Floyd, Do not really have to comment with this one, kinda a bit of a cop out answer. J Cash, again an easy answer, but he really was that good. Of what is around currently I'd go for Lake of Tears, lyrics are often pretty trite, and the music can be a little basic, but I love me some big psychadelic choruses, Which LoT delivers in spades. I used to do the whole metal thing, loved me some CoB, Rhapsody, Stratovarius, Mayhem, Maiden e.t.c Kinda gone off it a bit these days. |

I used to be huge into metal, rarely if ever listen to it anymore. I pretty much listen to classical now. On occasion I'll listen to some jazz and random indie rock. If NPR has switched to talk radio, I'll switch to a classic rock station. |

If NPR has switched to talk radio, I'll switch to a classic rock station. Heh, loved me some Mayhem back in the day. I'm mostly a folkie these days, be it Irish or otherwise, I like to appreciate both melody and intricate lyrics. Still listen to a lot of classic rock too, and a fair few oddballs from a mish-mash of genres. I do like a fair amount of classical, but I have had problems approaching the genre, I like classical music with 'balls' like Mussorgsky, Wagner and Beethoven. I however get completely turned off by diddly -diddly type stuff. I also have trouble approaching some of the elitism inherent in certain classical pieces, but it is most likely a personal shortcoming as opposed to the music in question. |
