I would not mention any regular music here so I start with the composers from the east.
Noriko Matsueda and Takahito Eguchi. Composers from Final Fantasy X-2. Nobuo Uematsu of course from a lot of the other Final Fantasy soundtracks. Final Fantasy VIII is one of my better favourites. Eyes On Me is so beautiful <3 Masashi Hamauzu main composer to the Final Fantasy XIII series so far. Akira Yamaoka. Akira's ambient and melancholic themes helps in times of solitude and loneliness when no other tunes is responding to my soul. Tetsuya Shibata composer of a lot of Devil May Cry soundtracks. Especially DMC4 and this song from

The Beatles are and always will be my favourite band of all time. I also like Green Day (American Idiot was my first album), Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and AC/DC (Since all Aussies like Acca/Dacca).
As for anime, I really like Nano.ripe who did the openings to Hanasaku Iroha and Humanity has Declined. Plus there's Yui, ClariS, Supercell, Egoist and Flow.

bands like isee stars, asking alexandria, of mice aand men, attack attack, bless the fall etc.
rappers: i think drake, Kendrick Lamar and kid cudi are fun to listen to(is kid cudi considered a rapper ??)
Dubstep: bassnecter, zomboy, nero, mt.eden, and other electro stuff.
Jpop is pretty fun(fripside, on/off, tm revolution and more) i listen to some. i need to find some good j hardcore bands(The GazettE is pretty good)
I mostly listen to post-hardcore because of the pump and intensity off it.
