It depends on what type of question is being asked, other than that, you're totally fine.
Welcome by the way. Hopefully you'll fine CR to be an interesting experience.

No, DB used to blanket ban people with certain keywords in emailed questions. I'm just making a joke. I'm sure I can ask any question I want here, as I am a paying member.

I used to download Dattebayo subs all the time. I first stumbled upon Crunchyroll in October. Was still debating to join until I got my iPad. Crunchyroll on the go = AWESOME! I should have joined sooner. Can't wait to become a more active member.

It is said to lose the work of DB. Bleach is well established and while it maybe a while before the DVD releases catch up...I can certainly wait. I am not sure I want to pay for streaming either...especially when I can use that money to buy other Anime. I certainly do my part to support Anime and have literally spent thousands on my DVDs.

That all being said...I am just not sure if I can support this place methods...at least until the wound in my heart heals. Same goals...vastly different methods. Anything helps that supports Anime I suppose...but a part of me is just sadden that a large number of folks feel that fan subs is destroying Anime. Many point out that DVD sales are down but times are changing too. Single volume DVD's are a thing of the past. Even Media Blasters has abandoned selling single DVDs now. Full or Half Sets are all the rage now and they are priced about 1/3 of what an artbox with volumes used to cost. Don't forget the S.A.V.E and Anime Legends sets which vastly undercut what many fans paid for LE or original releases with the hopes of getting fans into buying Anime. To fully blame fan subs is absolutely absurd. Fan subs is what got me into Anime...which led to me purchasing Anime nearly on a weekly basis. Here I sit with enough Anime to fill two book shelves and a five drawer dresser.

CR and their supporters got what they want and I hope it works out for ya. But this is what one small DB fan sub supporter did all because of a DB fan sub. I respect Anime...and there is no one here that can dare challenge that statement.

I never heard of CR until DB posted that thread, and within a week I purchased a membership. It's about time I can support anime legally. I can't wait to watch tomorrow!

I agree with Mordaane,

You can also buy dvd's if you want to be supportive legally, no need to ruin the fun for people who prefer fansubs. I for one prefer to collect the fansubs from series that are not on dvd yet and later buy the dvd's/bluerays.

It sure is a big loss now that DB stopped subbing bleach, and it will be harder to find good fan subbed episodes. Wich are good enough to archive. I can only hope that the people who made the comments like " I like the DB subs better but I will sign anyway" notice the consequences later on.

I have been a anime watcher/ manga reader since my 12 th year, back when a single volume costed alot of cash.. Now at the age of 24 I still watch and read new and old series. It's good that a site like CR thinks about legalizing anime for some people, but if you think about the whole community (fans), eventually it will shrink. Since anime got a lot of attention trough fansubbing.

I had no intention to insult CR or anything, just my point of view

Atleast with DB you got free uncensored and real honest subtitling without some child safety freaks changing the words to seem 'nice' DB only banned if you asked a stupid question, and they let you dispute that ban if they found you to be correct they would even unban you, after episode 274, i unfortunately will not be watching Bleach anymore, i dont watch dubbed cause i dont like crappy child safe censorship, why in gods name would i waste my time on subs that are exactly the same?

I discovered and loyally watched bleach on DB since ep 1. The only reason i even have Utorrent on my pc is because of bleach. I can't say i am not excited for bleach on CR though, now i can see the only two anime i watch on one website. (Bleach, Shippuden) The subtitles might be harsh at first, but we will get used to them eventually. Btw, I am starting to learn Japanese, woohoo!

To be honest i have no interest attempting to adjust to crunchyroll because of A its not free, B why would i pay for poor quality? if i wanted that id just watch it on tv, someone else will no doubt sub it, it may not be DB quality, but atleast it might be more true to the nature of the characters than crunchy roll.

I really need to learn Japanese so its irrelevant though, like you are ^.^

On a side not i download these animes load them onto my Zune, so there is no point in joining a site that cant even let me do that.

Of course, that is if the question being asked isn't crude.

It is free. You just have to wait a week and watch ads if you do not want to pay.

If you learn it well, you will find out your assertion about censoring doesn't hold water.
