I just wish Viz would pull their heads out of their asses about the subs. I don't mind the lack of swearing, its irrelevant, what bothers me is the lack of suffixes attached to names. Just reading "Lady Tsunade" or "Naruto-boy" makes me want to cringe every time I watch. Just because someone is "sama" doesn't necessarily mean that they are a "Lord," it's someone who you have to be extremely respectful towards because of status. The same thing with adding "chan" to someones name. Its usually added to the names of cute girls, small children, or cute senile old people. Its a term of endearment. The only time you leave the suffix out of a name is when you are REALLY close with that person, as in you have seen him or her naked on a regular basis. Hope my little rant educated someone. I really hope Viz stays true to their word about keeping the suffixes in Bleach, and also fixes the mess that Naruto has become.

This is one point DB fans seem to have a problem getting straight on.

CR does not do the subs, nor do they have control over them.

If you really want DB to do the subs, try convincing Viz, as they handle the subs and have control over how they are done. All the complaints in the forum here amount to nothing but ineffective venting.

In the end it doesn't matter to me. I'm going to end up watching a fansub, hopefully one that can fill the shoes of DB, and then when it comes to the States I'll buy the dvd. Problem solved.

Good god....seems a lot of people watched Bleach On Dattebayo xD Never even heard of their site to begin with xD Im pretty sure the subs and quality here on Crunchyroll will more than suit your needs

I'd wager thousands more have never heard of "Crunchyroll" had they not been a part of DB. This site and everyone here should consider themselves lucky and thank DB. CR's net of Naruto and Bleach will drag in tons more viewers - give credit where credit is due is what most are saying.

Myself I'll find another sub, rather have a brain enema than pay for crap quality streaming and read diluted subs with literal translations that make no sense in context.

I'm sorry but no matter what you say or do, I just can't support paying for streaming anime. Yes, I do get to watch my shows on time and all but what if my Internet gets turned off.....then what? I'm left short changed and unable to watch my shows. This is why I support fansubs and also buying DVDs/blu-Ray discs since if something like this happens, I get to keep what I paid for. Quality also plays a role in my purchases. I love Bleach since the first release by Lunar Fansubs and quickly adjusted to Dattebayo. Their not perfect but at least it is way better than watching s#!t tier quality subs by Viz which explains why I haven't bought a single Bleach DVD set yet.

Regardless of what anyone might say, people will have their own opinions, theories, and preference regarding this matter and it isn't right for anyone to try and force their beliefs onto anyone else. At any rate, I'm sad that DB decided to go with the moral call on this and now I have to look for another fansub provider for this series but hopefully there will be some group with the same quality as DB.

For hose who are interested in SGKK subs. I have downloaded and looked through DB and SGKK versions of 274 episode.

1. SGKK translated and made a karaoke for the opening and the ending. And not just a rip of DB, it is their own work. Done quite nicely.
2. SGKK got some minor problems with the subtitles, like initially small font (can made bigger via player options).
3. SGKK translation is easier to read and understand for the most parts, though they used a bit of complicated words.

All in all, their subs are Good, at least they are a nice alternative to DB + you don`t have to pay shit to those money greedy crunchyroll people.

I can confirm with this post, SGKK has done a great job. Hopefully all the lost viewers from DB will re direct towards here at some point, as for buying to stream anime, I'd rather download a higher quality file with actual effort put into the subs (I know CR don't handle this, but really should sort it out regardless), and if I like that anime I will buy the dvd's and any interesting posters/merchandise i like. As for me using CR, I doubt i will ever visit this site again. Good luck CR in the future, Its sad to see that everything thinks about the money at the end of the day. And don't play that down ;)

p.s Google SGKK fansubs

You'll be surprised how some companies use the premise of whatever agenda they have in mind for the common people. At the end of the day, it all comes down to said company wanting money. No and, if, or buts about it. Money is always the end goal in businesses like this. You can't deny that.

CrunchyRoll is no different than any other business......otherwise, they wouldn't have sold out to the anime studios. As long as they got something out of it which is obviously money and the right to stream anime, it's all good to them. It's the people (like yourself) that are the ones coughing up money for something you wont physically own for your own use unless you cough up more money to buy the actual product. I'm sorry but I don't see the logic in spending double time for 1.) something I don't physically own & 2.) having to pay for said physical version of the item I want to watch.

please for the L.O.G get dattebayo to do the subbing, I bet they would even do it for free, they put effort into it love heart and soul, what's up now looks like it was done in 5 min in wmm with grammar and translation errors.

This is a example CR: "I didnt expect your strength and speed would suddenly increase so soon after your sword release" suddenly so soon is a pleonasm, DB:"I didnt expect your strength and speed to increase so dramatically after your release"

There are also many other areas on which these subs epic fail.

And just to clear up this post I do not have a problem with CR, I just want them to go to DB and ask them to do the subs. Especially if I have to pay for it, I want quality not crap. you know what petition time if they can petition to get bleach we can petition to get them to.
http://www.petitionspot.com/petitions/DBbleachCRsubs
just a note this is not for CR to drop or for DB to pick it back up this is simply for CR to ask DB to do it if DB says no then the issue is resolved.

man lol they put more efford into it?

DB is known for lacking with their subs and misspelling every thing they dont understand

CR gets the translation legit

if there are epic fails on subs then DB is the one lacking! they try to minimize the text as moutch as possible!

If you want to spend your money to own a physical product so you can rewatch at any time, that is fine.

Some of us would rather spend our limited time watching new anime, and given that, paying more to own a copy makes no economic sense. An entire year of CR costs about as much as two bargain series sets on DVD.

I also like that I can depend on the episodes with subtitles being available at a scheduled time. Bleach was one of the exceptions, but if you have dealt with less popular series, you should know quite well what I mean.

Most of the library here will stick around, which means typically I can go back and rewatch a favorite episode or three, but to me, that is just icing on the cake.

Wow! You are actually bragging that for mere pennies what some of us has spent hundreds, if not thousands, on acquiring Anime to watch that you can see several series at any time. You must have one stable internet connection.

As for newly airing series...Its true that several groups release the newest episode within 24-48 hours. Less popular series can sometimes take at least a week after airing to circulate around depending on the group.

I am still not a complete believer in what CR is doing. Mostly because they refuse to provide any figures as to how much actually goes back to the companies they partner with. Its not like anyone is asking for exact amounts either. 10 cents for every dollar? 25 cents of every dollar?

I support this post, why should CR and the creators get money for their hard work? let them suffer, let them get fired or worse let their families end up in the street, they don't need the money, why would the anime industry deserve our support? it's not like we care about anime...thank god we don't care because it will be dead soon for some unknown reasons.
