People, ECCHI doesn't always mean CRAP, so stop hating. Or better yet, PEOPLE, DO NOT GENERALIZE.

Its like being racist. There is no real reason to dislike ecchi anime just because it is perverted.
People who feel uncomfortable with perverted things should just stay away from it and not bash it because you don't like it.

How is disliking anime being racist? You're using this word out of context.

I don't care for most of the ecchi titles that come out today, and to be honest that's my business. I've found them to be so over-glorified with fanservice, that the actual plot is ignored. Queen's Blade is good, and so are a couple of other titles I've seen, but if the anime only focuses on those ecchi moments and nothing else, than it's not worth watching.

"Not worth watching"???
What do you mean not worth watching? It may not be worth watching for you, but the thing is there are hundreds of thousands of people out there who like perverted stuff and only watch anime for perverted things.
Many people may not understand them (neither do I), but to look badly of people who enjoy these things and think there is something wrong with that is wrong.
I'm not saying that you personally think the way I stated, however there are many people who do.
I am just pointing out that if people don't try to understand each other then people start to discriminate people.
My point about "like being racist" meant to show discrimination of themes where perverted things are seen badly or worthless when there are many people who enjoy watching them and even make a living out of it to support a family or just lives.
People can think however they want about perverted anime, however mocking people who watch them just because they don't like it is a similar ideology that goes into racism.
I will repeat again, I do not know if you think the way I stated, but there are people out there who do and some people do get hurt by that.

1. Being racist has something to do with hating someone because of their race, not anime. Also, being perverted has nothing to do with race.

2. You completly rambled on without reading, let alone understand, what I was conveying. I didn't say all ecchi anime wasn't worth watching, in fact I happen to enjoy it, but only if the fan- service doesn't take away from the actual story; then it's not worth watching.

If you and all the other people in this thread like ecchi than so be it. I really don't care.

I personally dont like it but I dont make a big deal about it. If its what sells then by all means go for it. These are animated shows there is no reason to take it so damn personal like it going to murder you family and rape you. If you don't like it just move on. Why do so many people have to make it a huge deal.

Though posts like this annoy me as well as all those others about whos the hottest guy and all that BS. I do understand that the majority of anime is sold to a younger demographic, so i just stay away from them, but yelling at people saying not to hate is not going to change anything. It comes off like you're a troll and just trying to start crap with people on here. It's like saying Don't hate on loli because it not all bad or creepy. It has a bad stigma and always will. Some people find it offensive and others love it.

Who really cares. Just watch your anime and enjoy it. Not everyone is going to like everything you do, so just calm down and let it go. It's not the end of the world.

Oh, and trying to tell people not to generalize is just stupid. People have always been like that and always will. It's like trying to argue politics with someone, no one wins and all you get are a bunch of people yelling one side and another group yelling about other side. Nothing gets solved at all and just over all annoying.

There are many levels unto which a show can be entertaining to me. I definitely don't mind echi stuff. I also don't mind,, sophisticated, profound, emotionally deep, or mind-screwing works either.

"Crap" is what entertains on none of the levels I find entertaining.

Obviously you care...

You can't make a long post like that, throw in some commands and use the words 'who cares' as often as you do and try to make it like you yourself aren't doing the same thing. You obviously care enough to write that. You obviously care enough to tell us what you don't like ecchi and you obviously care enough to tell us what types of posts you don't like.

Lead by example, but in this case you couldn't lead without posting.

I'm sorry if you had enough of this discussion, however I can't just let this go when you seemed to have so much interest in this topic when you decided to reply my reply.

I was also disappointed that I will have to write my post in a simpler manner since you obviously fail to understand the meaning behind it or just refuse to look deep into what I was saying.

Being racist = discriminating. If you can't comprehend that just forget about the racist thing if that helps you understand. (Racist does not always have to do with race because race can mean many things to different people. some people sees East Asians an a race, but some people see Japanese and Koreans as different race. some people even see religious sects as different race)
I must say, I did completely understand what you were saying. I simply said that you find excessive fan service "not worth watching". As my previous reply said, some people really enjoy that and I feel bad for those people who get bad looks by people just because they like something other people don't. I'm not saying that you do that or anything, I really don't know what kind of person you are. But there are people who do so and I was just saying people should not do that.

Is this clearer? I don't want to make a big fuss about this, but I personally can't leave people live with miss understood information I give out.

*snorts*

People like to misuse the term 'racism' because it's easy to get emotions riled up so that people don't actually think things through. I've learned that in most cases, anything said with that term is likely to fall apart if logic is applied.

btw, sjp30, the term you should be using is 'bigotry' and it's derivatives. That would actually fit the definition of the word. If you don't believe me, check the dictionary. If you keep using 'racism', then you are devaluing the real meaning of the word. Which will make it more difficult to get rid of the ignorant stupidity that is racism.

There’s no need for you to simplify anything for me, since I’ve already realized your obvious misconception. Yet again you continue to use the word out of context, and it seems that I have to use a dictionary in order for you to understand the actual meaning:

Racism: a belief that race is the primary determinant of human traits and capacities and that racial difference produce an inherent superiority of a particular race.

Again, what does disliking anime have to do with racism?

Discrimination: is a sociological term referring to the treatment taken toward or against a person of a certain group in consideration based solely on class or category. Discrimination is the actual behavior towards another group. It involves excluding or restricting members of one group from opportunities that are available to other groups.

You can be discriminative against anything, not just race. Though there is racist discrimination, but it has nothing to do with being an ecchi fan. Like jerrac said, it could be bigotry.

To be honest, your logic perplexes me. The word racism is misused so much in society to the point where people forget the actual meaning.

After I've gone off topic with that rant, I will finish my closing argument with this:

I enjoy ecchi anime, but I do not enjoy excessive fan-service. An anime can be just as good without it, sometimes even better. I'm not trying to attack anyone, but I have a right to my opinion whither you or anyone else dislike it or not. That is all, not trying to cause an issue.

sigh and now this thread has turned into a troll thread what a ^(*$#^& surprise. If people do not have the same opinion then we must bash on some one else for not having that opinion. I love pretty much any ecchi series to be honest with you but qwaser was to much, If I want porn I will watch princess 69 or bible black. Not some series that is half assed in it's attempt to give guys blue balls.

That was my point earlier. I have a friend who is into some really weird but I dont judge her. It's just in general what a lot of boards do on the internet. Over exaggerate and go way off topic to the point people just yell and scream pointless things until it gets locked.

And Time4SomeAnime who said I don't care. You obviously missed the whole point of my post.

I will always bash on Ecchi. Why? Because the "ecchi" parts are so darn pointless. Oh-so pointless. People who "READ MANGA JUST FOR THAT REASON DERP-DERP" should just go buy a real H-manga, yeah? What does that one page with the girls' clothes being torn off have to contribute anything to the plot or meaning of the work? Nothing. Nothing at all.

Now now, I suppose one of you will say, "RESPECT THE ECCHI, NOT ALL OF THEM ARE LIKE THAT."

Yes, they are.

Oh, by the way, I have an opinion, but I can defend it. Rather than convincing everybody to be so darn open-minded like a house without walls, why not stay true to your honest opinion and defend it? Then, you can challenge others' as much as you want.

^ Agreed.

Anime/manga/music/movie/etc. isn't ALL about taste. There must be, in regards to the actual artistry, something profound in order for it to be actually called a "great anime/manga/music/movie/etc."

Therefore, crap anime will always be crap anime, regardless of the next ignorant fanboy/girl who stumbles in while shouting "OMG THIS (insert manga name here) IS THE BEST!" (only to change her mind a few months later.)

yeah cuz your gay chrome_mist
