Guess what guys facebook(and similar) = stalking. Lets say there is a local fair for the week and you heard her say she was going wednesday, you were planing on checking it out one day anyways, you decide to go wednesday incase you happen to bump into each other. You can call it stalking or you can call it strategic positioning, but its the same thing to a degree.

stalking is never good ._. if he likes the girl, just ask the friends of that girl questions(like what movie she likes or whatever) and they will probably let her know that u like her. if she find out ur stalking her or whatever, she will NEVER date a stalker

I wouldn't use the term stalk.

Stalking is pretty much when someone is obsessed with another person, to the point they gather all information on them, their daily routine, etc., including some very disgusting habits of gathering personal items from them, like bodily fluids, and at the extreme, threatening the lives of others that get near that person, sometimes killing the friends, or killing the said person they are stalking, because they don't want anyone else to have them.

I'd say a guy would observe a girl, like others have mentioned...but stalking, no.

All depends on the guy I think...
Some just trust you enough not to be bothered....

I wouldn't it stalking. That makes it sound a lot worse than it actually is. I prefer th term "investigating " much more. I do this to everyone, boys and girls. I just want to gather a sufficient amount of information about them, such as there full name, age, etc.

Whatever you choose to call it, physically following a girl you're interested in around is just weird and can easily make you look pathetic and childish.

Watching/"observing" when in a place you both frequently hang out is alright, as long as you use some social intelligence and leave your camera at home and both hands out in the open.

In the end the best way to find out more about someone is to simply talk to them, be brave!

OK, what if you was being "stalked or observed" by someone you liked or was attracted to, would that bother you?

Well... since I've been stalked a few times now... I'm going to say it did bother me... but i just laugh about it now...

i just seem to attract crazy psychos that ask me to marry them on the first date... or ask me to move in with them on the first date... or tell me they love me on the first date... yeah... don't ask....

And... you DO realise that the examples you gave were FICTION... I'm fairly sure that there's a lot of FICTIONAL stories where kidnapped people fall in love with their captors or rape victims fall in love with their captors... which in reality doesn't happen all that often if at all... I'm fairly sure if you stalk people they'll think you're a crazy person who needs locking up in the nearest loony bin.

Rofl, casual stalking. "No no, I'm not stalking you. I'm just observing casually....from behind these bushes over here."

perhaps, a casual stalker. or on more lighter tones, he's an observer.
