Stalking normally implies that someone is about to kill something lol....
I wouldn't say stalking, it's more like very aware.
For Example:
You're walking down the hallway and you see her go into her classroom. You're not going to forget, you like this girl. It may seem like stalking but it's really not.

That's what I used to do. And the timing of the stare when she's about to look at your direction, and you look/stares at her and gently smile.
When she stares away I laugh a little. And if she laughs or smile a little, I try to talk to her a little.
Highschool days.
