I think this might be what civilian tazers are for, now that I get to thinking about it. If they're stalking you, it means one of two things.
1.) They're trying, in complete futility, to work up the courage to talk to you. [95% Likelihood]

Probably, this guy told me he liked me for 2/3 years and apparently he noticed many things about me while I still don't know who he is exactly.
but then again, I think all guys observe girls, since the guy I personally like, notices me and comments on it via IMing when I never knew he was event in the room, but it seems like he doesn't like me.  |

Not really, but it depends on the guy.
My last actual crush was about 8 years ago while in college, and while it never reached stalker levels, i did go out of my way and usual behavior to be close to her, even is we were in the same classes and we were friends (not close ones, though); stuff like staying later or leaving earlier to give her and her friends a ride home, usually enjoying her in casual conversation and so on; her female friends (who were close to me as well) pretty much knew i liked her; one even teased me about figuring it out; i never took my chances because she was on an off/on relationship with her BF, plus we were quite different in personal tastes and beliefs, so we clashed often on some issues when on study groups.
I'd say a normal, balanced guy will never stalk a girl, but he will go out of his way and swallow his pride in order to increase his chances of being with her.
