Not sure on how the Rules go for Gaming Forums but...here I go xD

Red Dead Redemption. What are your thoughts on it? I beat it and thought it was pretty good as far as cowboy games go. Though I still prefer the GTA games over this. I rate this game at least a 9 out of 10. What do you guys think about this game?

If I broke any of the rules here....go ahead and lock this D:

Lol. I give the game 10/10. It has great freedom and the landscape is beautiful...well for a game. Characters are incredible and show great maturity along the way. The story...alone is worth the game, but with online and free roam it's incredible.

I thought it was going to be a wild west GTA, but it turns out to be better than I expected; good graphics, story, and complete freedom “Open world”. I’m not a big fan of third person shooters or action games, but this one and MGS series are the exception.

By the way I’m still playing it.

I haven't played it but It would be nice if it will come to the pc. R* said that in this moment they don't have plan for a pc version. I hope that they will.

Ffff, I don't actually own it yet, so I steal it from my friend on occasion. I give it an A+ so far. What I've seen of the story is pretty cool, and the characters are so well-developed that I actually care about what happens to them. Except for Jack's bitch wife who likes to nag him during missions. Also, the free roaming really makes you feel as if you're completely in control~

Besides, any game that rewards you for tying a whore to some train tracks and watching her die has to be epic, right?

I thought the game was pretty great, as most Rockstar games are, but I did have a couple of issues with it. For one, it has a few annoying bugs that pop up every now and then (like the time I ducked behind a rock and all of a sudden I flew 100 feet in the air and then died). My other issue is the ending. I won't ruin anything for those who haven't played it, but I thought it was a very "What the fuck, Rockstar? Really?" kind of ending. Other than that, I loved the game.

Yea it made me go O.O too. Some little quirks I dont like are when you call your horse....if you try to run towards it...it will run away from you...then when you chase it...it will continue to run for some yards which is sometimes annoying to me. I mean I could stop and wait for him to come to a complete stop but...I like to be moving xD And sometimes when I pick a flower....turn towards my horse...the camera sometimes shoots around for some reason. But yea besides those I dont have any issues playing it.

For a cowboy game....its definitely a 10/10. Though I will like the GTA games a lot more than this. Right now im just completing the challenges....done 3 of them....think there r 4 total but....yea I guess I just feel like doing them since I beat the game.

One of the best games so far this year, it will likely be a game of the year contender. Story wise it had one of the best I have seen in a long time. If you like rockstar games at all and own a ps3 or 360 you are really punishing yourself if you don't find a way to play this game.

It's awesome, I was a bit skeptical to play it at first, but it's addictive when you do play it.

The ending is definitely different to what you would usually expect from Rockstar games (Not going to spoil it for anyone who hasn't played/finished the game).

The compulsory mini-cutscenes get annoying sometimes (I.e. when picking plants, skinning animals, etc.) but there has to be some sort of leverage (am I even using that word right? O.o) to make the game more realistic.

The fact that there are different levels of horses is quite a nice touch, the limited edition war horse is also quite a nice addition for those who pre-ordered the game or bought it on first day of release (like we did), the stamina gauge gets annoying though, I just want to keep smashing the A button lol.

There are also quite a few weird glitches, the ones I most commonly encounter are if you run or jump down from your horse without stopping first to try and pick a plant, it does the animation away from the plant and you have to pick it again, and my horse sliding all over the place from time to time. The weirdest I've seen so far is probably walking into the medical store (or whatever you call it) and finising my horse is resting on the bed, the strangest thing was it looked completely normal (No glitchy flashing or moving, it just sat there in a logical position).

the online multiplayer feature is definitely good, free roam is awesome and the fact that you can make posses is great (gang wars is fun) but they need more NPC gangs in there, 5 (at least I think there are 5 in total from what I can remember) is definitely not enough.

For me it's definitely a 10/10 for plot, gameplay, graphics are good too, could still improve but realistic enough already.

Hrm...I wasn't supposed to give a full review on the game, but there you go! XD (Now go buy the freaking game!(unless you already own it...))

I agree with most comments here. RDR was/is great. I have to disagree about those unhappy with the ending. I thought it was great and appropriate to the Western genre. It also wasn't too unlike the ending to Rockstar's GTA4 in that there has to be somekind of karmic payment made for the kill-filled life you've lead so far. You can't wash blood with blood...or ranching it seems.
