No, war doesn't scratch the population actually. Even during WW2, it barely made a dent on the general population. A few million is nothing compared with billions.

However, my point is that humans have never ceased war since the beginning of history. It is our nature and trying to patch this nature may create more hurtful things. An example would be a bigger Congress. God forbid a bigger Congress.

GOD FORBID.

Alas, you are partially correct. war is only part of the job. Famine, desiese, plauge, and predators. Aside from Africa, the other 5 have been severely reduced in effectiveness.

*Raises Hand* CrunchRoll is one of my favorite sites.

About whole war thing here is something.
A single death is a tradgedy, a million, a statistic.

yes, this may be true. But it would only take one good disease like the Plague to decimate our numbers, which I'm sure is not too far off considering the technology can only barely keep up with new diseases and not even then really. We still cannot predict the reactions our own human bodies will have to diseases.

Na, I think over the years (expecially after the middle ages) the quarentine procedure has developed so that we can prevent such things from happening. Indeed, diseases that kill people slowly are hard to stop (you can't tell people to stay in one place for 20 years), such as aids or cancer, but if there's some deadly disease out there, I think it would never get out of hand.

But I agree that the medical technology today are losing vs the battle of diseases... despite the fact we're at our peak.
