A Toronto man has been the first to get an eyeball tattoo. Basically, he has turned the whites of his eyes blue. Corneal tattooing is usually used for patients that have had trauma to their eye, not for this, which is called body modification. It took 40 injections of blue ink in order to complete this procedure. Pigment was injected under the top layer of the eye using a syringe. The syringe injected the ink into the eye. At first they had tried a traditional needle with ink on it, but when the ink didn't hold, they switched to the syringe. The man has reported that all is well so far, but it feels like he has something in his eye.

I don't know why I looked at the picture.....that's just gross.

And why would anyone have a tattoo on their eyeball? To me that looks like an accident waiting to happen. won't the ink infect your eye as well?

Does he not value the gift of eyesight?

My eyes are my everything, being a champion Archer I even have them insured! To blind myself out of choice would be insanity.

If ink is dangerous externally in your eye, what the hell is he putting it INSIDE for?

I thought the guy actually had a design done to his eye or something, not just ink it all blue -_-;; At least if there was a design, it would look kinda cool. It's not the craziest idea, because I can see why someone would want to get tats on their eyes.

But holy shit it looks painful. Well seeing since it is used for medical purposes, it can't be as bad for your eyes as people think, but I still wouldn't risk it. What if the doctor's hand jerks and totally fucks up your eye? No thanks.
