That's really gotta hurt. o-o Injecting ink into your eye? I can barely stand wearing contact lenses!

On the last picture of the article the guy looks like he's in pain...

I could never ever do that..

How about some contacts? A less painful way to make your eyeballs more appealing. A friend of mind has red contacts, and they have little lady bugs in the corners.

I don't know why I looked at the picture.....that's just gross.

And why would anyone have a tattoo on their eyeball? To me that looks like an accident waiting to happen. won't the ink infect your eye as well?

I thought the same thing

When ink gets in your eyes from external it stains the whole eye causing stress and sometimes damage. What he's doing here is having ink injected into the white of his eyes between the top layer and the inner layers of the eye. The same level that acts as a sort of 'skin' for the eye. It's a soft inking procedure (not sure soft is the word I'd have chose.). The process is they inject the eye carefully with very little amounts working on a layer that is separate from the working and seeing parts of the eyes.

It is not as painful as it looks, but it is 'really' nerve racking. And the feeling of having something in your eye is NOT permanent. However when the guy had it done originally, he only had one eye changed in-case things got complicated and it blinded the eye somehow. He wasn't just marching in without knowing what was going to happen and saying 'blue my eyes doc!"

From when I heard of it two years ago he had only got one eye done and after he'd lived with it for a while he'd get the other dyed to match after the procedure proved not to kill his eyesight.

its expensive and not many tattoo artists do this i have the money for one but no tattoo artist to tattoo my eyes yes you can wear eye contacts but those mostly cover the iris and pupil so we tattoo the sciera then put really awesome contacts on as well

That's crazy. I admire his boldness but I wouldn't let people STICK NEEDLES INTO MY EYE.

Risking ones sight in hopes to change appearance is somewhat foolhardy, especially if the primary goal is to draw attention. Pathetic.
