Personally, all the live action films that I have watched really sucked b***s (last airbender for example) >_< what do you think??

I knew that was gonna suck so I won't bother seeing it. A lot of live action movies are just an abomination and a disgrace to the anime/games they're making the movie from. I liked Space Jam though (is that considered an live action?) the Looney Toons came to the real world so it's sort of like it I guess

Well, that's a pretty harsh assessment in my opinion. For a lot of anime-inspired live action movies, they are indeed below-par, but that's because you are comparing them to the source material, the anime these movies were derived from. I'd imagine it's difficult to not only find actors that fit the appearance of the characters sufficiently well enough, but also some of the things done in these anime series could be incredibly hard to reproduce. At the same time, take into account what has to happen to turn those series into movies: either some serious compression has to be accomplished, often editing out entire chunks of the story, or a particular point in the series is delved into deeply, and not necessarily at the beginning of the anime either.

On the other hand, I'm a comic book geek too, and I think that Marvel has done a very impressive job bringing their characters to life on the silver screen. If you've read Iron Man, you'd know there's no one more qualified to play Tony Stark than Robert Downey Jr. Well, no one that's currently alive, sober, and not in the Betty Ford Clinic.

I'm not invalidating your opinions, I just feel that lumping all live-action movies into one deplorable lump is a very broad overgeneralization. If you honestly think all live action movies that have hit the market in recent times are terrible, then thank you for sharing your opinion.

The reason I believe that they suck is that the studios know that people will pay money to go watch their movies simply because they are fan of the original medium. Why waste too much money and time when something mediocre will do? Also not all live action films suck. Some are pretty good.

Dragon Ball Evolution. I didn't like the casting and I didn't like that they made the "kamehameya" a healing power...

Legend of Chun Li was okay but not that good either.

I'm looking forward to see The Last Airbender and Tekken though.

i saw dragon ball. wasnt very good. tekken might be cool, but i wish they had more characters in it.

okay first of all american live action sucks...secondly foreign live actions rocks. cromartie high live action was hillarious. Casshern was badass. NANA was good. Old boy was amazing. you guys are silly...and dont even forget Battle Royale. i mean just beacause the american ones suck because they honestly dont give a crap an wont to market it doesnt mean live action movies suck.
