It's not like the fillers are 30 episodes long! A recap episode is really unnecessary. Another episode wasted.

You guys share the same feelings as me?

(well it's not like this is a big deal, but still, isn't annoying that we've waited 1 whole week just to get a boring recap episode. ) Some people saw it coming though, like me.

But I'm glad they won't make another recap episode for next week about what happened in Choice.
Next week's episode spoilers: Don't read unless you've been reading the manga.

Hello!

I know that most people do not like Recap episodes. However they help to cut cost for shows. Live actions shows use clip episodes from time to time to keep the cost down. Anime is the same from time to time especially if the show is a long running one that catches up with the manga too quick. One Piece did this one time when they were in the middle of the action during an arc called Ennis Lobby.

Now to Reborn! that uses many different recap episodes after different events. It helps to not only cut cost but limit the need for long drawn out fillers. Some series like Bleach have year long fillers but Reborn! rarely has a long group of fillers. The reason for this is small filler episodes here and there with filler footage in story. The recap episodes, horoscopes, Haru Haru Dangerous Interviews, and Tsuna Monster Tamer help to distribute the cost of animating the story and keeping from catching up with the manga.

Animating a series is difficult sometimes especially if a lot of details are needed. I am sure that the upcoming battles will need to have quite a budget to make them look great.

So in short while recaps are boring at times they help to make it more cost effective and animation quality effective. I personally don't mind recaps I like to hear what a character is thinking or observing during the time that they have been in the action.

Thank you for your very smart response. I didn't even take the time to realize how the producers/animators feel. Shame on me.
